Reliable and Fast – Perfect Router for My Small Office Setup
I’ve been using the TP-Link ER605 for a few months now, and it has been rock-solid since day one. I got it to upgrade the network stability in my home office, and I’m really happy with how it performs. The setup was quite straightforward, especially with the Omada Controller, which makes managing the network super easy. I can monitor everything in one place, and the interface is clean and simple to use—even if you're not super technical. One of the biggest reasons I bought this router was for its load balancing and VPN support, and it delivers exactly as promised. I have two internet connections, and the ER605 handles both seamlessly, automatically balancing the traffic and switching if one connection drops. This has been a huge help during Zoom calls or while transferring large design files. Security-wise, it has all the features I needed—firewall, VPN, DoS protection, and more—and everything runs smoothly without slowing down the speed. I’ve also noticed it runs cool and has a solid build quality.

Works well with well balanced Dual WAN
First, I reall wished to buy a gigabit WAN router for future proofing but all ISPs commonly have a 100mbps max connection speed. My home of office LAN is all with gigabit Ethernet. This router is well made, solid metal build. Setup was a breeze. I'm using this with one static IP connection & the second with a PPPoE ISP. With load balancing that helps bandwidth aggregation. Works well without any packet loss. Recieved a newly made product dated April 2019 V6.0 but firmware updates ended until June 2018. Will post a follow up review a month later. Update: (June 2020) a year later..... Recently recieved a 2020 firmware update last month. Router has been very functional and link aggregation has been working great. I've been using Airtel xstream, ACT Fibernet & Excell broadband with different protocols each like DHCP, PPPoE & Static IP configurations. Only drawback is that the link speed limit is only 100mbps which isn't helpful for future use if I get a faster internet plan ( 50+40+40mbps currently). I can recommend this router for internet users who don't have current plans of not greater than 25-40mbps.

Good product . need to know how to setup before buying . online videos are not available for complete setup . it can be used with omada controller - software and hardware . but it was not connecting with software omada controller and no proper tutorial on how to connect or what was the issue . but product is good . had option of connecting USB dongle as one Internet connection . so total 3 WAN ( 2 dedicated , 1 LAN/WAN ) + 1 USB WAN . i hav tried 3 WAN. but usb need to check . my question is can we have total 4 connected and can we use all 4 as WAN input .

Useless Product
When I ordered the product for the first time, I received a defective item. To identify the issue, I had to change my routers (I bought Deco, which turned out to be another trash product) and troubleshoot everything. Finally, I realized the problem was with this product. Amazon made the replacement process incredibly frustrating, and I wasted an entire day just to get a replacement. When I received the new product, it still didn’t work properly. Every few minutes, the internet would disconnect. I tried every solution available online, but nothing worked. Now, I’ve wasted my money, and this useless product is just taking up space in my home. Don’t buy this product.

Best router at this price.
I am a network professional and this box is too good for its price. It does perfect load balancing. I have two 150MBPS WAN links and it gives a throughput of 300 MBPS. Its not limiting to 100 MBPS under load balancing as reported by some users. May be its a new firmware. Fail over also happens smoothly within 10 seconds.Only drawback is the box is slow. It takes five minutes for the router to be up from cold start and any dynamic changes in the policy takes close to 60 secs before being implemented. Best to go for home set up.

Load Balancing.
Lag of 15 - 20 seconds while switching the networks in case of load balancing.

Best Load Balancer / WAN Aggregator in this price range
What an absolute gem. As soon as you hold it in your hands it screams premium with all metallic chassis and heavy weight. Setup is simple and intuitive. You just need to select number of WAN ports you're gonna use, supply them with connection parameters and you are set. You can use this in many ways, Load Balancer across multiple WAN connection where you can specify how much traffic should go out of one connection over another (you can specify the ratio), as a hot standby device where secondary WAN only kicks in if first one goes down or WAN Aggregator (which I am using) where you can combine the bandwidth of all WAN connection you are using. Make sure to disable "Enable Application Optimized Routing" from Advanced -> Load Balance -> Configuration if you want to aggregate WAN bandwidth. I am using an Airtel DSL line with 16 Meg Down and 1 Meg UP and Excitel Cable connection with 20 Meg UP / Down. I am constantly getting 36 Meg Down / 21 Meg UP with this. There are few reviews online for this, however, I recommend one from Mr. Barnacules Nerdgasm :[...] . This is the one which made me buy this device. Totally recommend it

Very easy to use and understand. This unit will in fact increase your speed in Some instances. But mostly it just let's you use 2 sources of internet on the same computers. I'll explain.. I have 2 6mb DSL lines into the house.(we live in the country and thats the best we can get). Before getting this router I would just have some computers or WiFi devices on each WAN(Incoming internet connection) and hope for the best. Now with this new router, all of the computers are connected to the router (via Ethernet or WiFi) and the router handles which internet connection each computer tries to get data from. Now depending on how the information is sent from the server you are getting it from we can get 12Mbps. Example. Netflix seems to be able to use the 2 connections together and pulls 11-12MBps. ITunes can only use one connection. HOWEVER.. I can Now download 2 podcasts at the same time at 6Mbps each. So while each file will take the same time to download as it did before.. We can do 2 files at the same at the full 6mbps. The router basically works like this. 1) Let me try to get what this computer is asking for. 2) Let me check which internet connection seems to be less active right now 3) OK I've found a connection that seems to be pretty open so I'll use that one instead of trying to piggyback on the connection that's already busy. In some cases(on serves that allow it) the router can get the data from both internet connections at the same time and then put the file together on your computer. That's how it can "increase" the internet speed. It doesn't actually increase the speed it just allows data to be pulled from 2 pipes and then put together on arrival. Now, a side effect of this is an automatic fail over device. Becuase when you ask the router to get you a file and it can't get it from the first connection it naturally wants to move to the next connection.

It has been working great with some initial setup, which was not too complicated. I now have multi WAN setup and the router can deliver a steady speed. One thing to note that the max delivery speed from eth port is capped at 100Mbps regardless the number of WANs you connect. having said that it should be sufficient for many small businesses.

Recomendo o produto (TL-R470T+)
