Love this stuff. I use it as a preventative measure in every used car I purchase. I tend to buy high milage vehicles and have not had any trans problems since i started using it about 10 years ago. I also know people with shifting issues and shutter that have used this and it cleared up. The 4oz shutter fix is great too.

2013 F150 Crew 3.5 Ecoboost 270k miles - mmm orig engine and trans. Maintenance is key. 5k oil changes and transmission and coolant drain and fill every 25k miles and these trucks last forever! Having used the red bottle on corvettes and older 5.4/6.2 F250/F350s i know this is a quality product, the Platinum is NOT available anywhere locally - in fact i didnt know it existed until YouTube. Several 09-14 F150 6 speed trans owners report remarkable results w the 6 speed shift smoothness after use. I had the 19mm plug pulled out of the upper pan mount and noted perfectly appearing fluid no discoloration or burnt smell. Added Platinum solely as a future preventative measure prior to a 1300 mile trip. Figured if it does do anything for an otherwise normal transmission ill surely find out after driving 1300 miles. Results: i noticed after about 400 miles of 80+ mph driving that shifting, while computer controlled, seemed a bit firmer and significantly faster. Prior to the addition of this product i also reset the transmission learned adaptations as well as all saved shift modes and all learned modes and driving styles. That makes an immediate and noticeable difference in shift points and especially torque converter lockup points and changes tow/haul mode behavior. Again YMMV and while i do notice a very mild but good improvement in a 260k++ mile transmission, since using this ive had a couple "hiccups" with 1-2 shifts that are concerning. One occasion in a parking lot at low speed the 1-2 shift was so harsh i thought something in the rear axle broke. It also did that once on a low speed turn a few days prior.It did not throw a code though and i do have the lead frame recall transmission -.recall has been done 8 years ago. Nothing but 25k fluid/filtet changes since. I recommend Platinum for all Ford 6 and 10 speed transmissions and especially the 4R100/5R100 seem to love 2 bottles of this fluid.

Always had a problem with the 2 to 3 up-shift flaring with the Buick 6T75E transmission. It's a known issue with a sticky valve. Noticed after a couple 1000 miles it really did smoothed out the shift points. The 2-3 flare just a little bit there especially after coming off a long highway run. But for the most part it really has smoothed out the shift points around town. Yeah, I debated on posting this review, as was just in my mind or did this stuff really work. Yes its works.

I have always trusted lubegard since 1990. I use it in all my cars. It helps the transmission work better, cooler and much more quiet. I love this. I always add this in all my cars when I changed the transmission fluid. It very powerful. It make the trans work so much better. No shuttering or jerking at all. It keeps the transmission clean and the fluid bright red. I'm very impressed with this stuff. I tried hundreds of other items on the market but this one is the very best. Must buy!!

Good product so far, pour into truck and drove couple hundred miles. Definitely worth the money.

Added a half of 10oz bottle to a Mercon LV (6f35 in a Ford Fusion 2012) after couple drain and fills. Previous owner never did transmission service up until 110k miles when I bought it from him, when I drained transmission fluid, it was darker then black. Only after 5 drain and fills with Motorcraft Mercon LV (each one was 4qt+), fluid became looking somewhat acceptable. Damage was already done to a transmission and shifting, even with proper fluid level, was erratic and rough (still was shifting into all 6 gears but with hesitation and a terrible rev hanging). I tried BG ATF Plus before, but ultimately was not satisfied with results and did drain and fill procedure 2 more times and was about to accept the defeat but found out on a some forums that people had some luck with Lubegard Platinum and decided to try it since it compatible with Mercon LV. Maybe this is just a placebo effect but with Lubegard in at least my car doesn't jerk every time when shifting and now somewhat nice at times, whining transmission noise became less noisy and maybe it will buy me some time before I need a new transmission

Best additive I've ever used, I don't use anything else in my trans or engine, but this eliminated hard shifting.

Sorted my Volvo s80 D5 autobox within 20 miles after a full fluid change, bottle of this and some lubeguard instant Shudder fix. Brilliant product.

I never thought I would put an additive in a ZF transmission, however I decided to take a chance with this one as my auto was starting to feel a bit tired. I am very glad I did the auto is now running better than ever, enhanced shifting patterns, staying in correct gear for longer, cooler and absolutely butter smooth changes. It took a good hour of driving for the electronics to relearn the new friction properties and then presto absolutely perfect. Don't be scared this product is excellent and is also backed up with OEM recommendations and approvals.
