Rule of thumb: having a power drill (especially the hex bit) is handy, and flashlight because it will come in handy for the dark corners if your room isn't lit well enough when putting it together. The instructions were plain and simple, while the build itself is easy for a single person to put together; although a bit of assistance with the lid/top might come in handy. For a small room, it fits in well enough and it is light enough to move about easily. But I would suggest having sliders underneath the legs so they won't make a mess of the wooden floors, if you plan to rearrange things in the room often enough. It's durable enough for building a model or other crafting/drawing if need be, or just a general display table. The hinged lid makes for a handy dining tray although I wouldn't suggest having wet items, or sweaty objects (iced/cold drinks) directly on the table top unless you have coasters or such to help alleviate the rings. Same for hot plated foods, or those in takeaway containers (especially the paper ones). The interior storage is pretty sizeable, where it can hold your knick-knacks, remotes, cords/cables, controllers, books and other miscellaneous items. It's rather sturdy when it is closed but when the table top is extended out, I would suggest only having light stuff on it, since there's a good possibility of tipping over. I had no issues of it becoming off centered when opening the table top; although at times I do forget which side it will go up thus having to swap it around when I'm wanting the remote/controller or eating. Overall, the table looks quite nice and will be good for a small dorm or starting table for an apartment.

I love this coffee table more than I thought I would. It’s larger than I thought it was going to be, the storage is amazing, and it functions amazing. It’s so smooth and easy to move! I will say it seems to be pretty scratch resistant and I definitely hit it with the screwdriver a few times while putting it together. It took a bit to build, maybe 2 hours? And it says to have two people build it and I definitely suggest that. I built it alone and putting the top on was tricky but doable. It seems sturdy and doesn’t wiggle around with movement and the material is a good size and not too thin or bulky. All in all I’d definitely say this was worth the cost!

I ordered Grey table and it's beautiful and just the right size. However, building this table was hell because u have to havr all the tools to screw it altogether and since the wood is so strong you have to have a electonic drill to screw it all. Even with the electronic drill they put screws on this table in NOT SO BRIGHT way thay u can't use a drill u have to manually screw them in with ur hands which is very difficult because rhe wood is so strong and as I mentioned some screws r at a spot even trying to manually do it....u can't turn the screw 360 degree, u can barely turn it 120 at times. Building the table was horrible so make sure you have manual screw drivers short and and thin and they r strong. If you have a electonic drill that's great cause it will help screw half of the screws but not all. I wish they made it easier to assemble. It would halve taken me twenty minutes to put it together but it took me 2 days cause I was so tired manually screwing such a thick wood that I gave up. So if u have no manual tool it will take you a while to put ot altogether causw you will want to rest your hands. Otherwise the table is beautiful and perfect!

Very nice table! Love the size in my apartment. Leather is of good quality, I like the labeling & that the stickers don’t fall off. Easy to take apart and redo if you make a mistake in assembly. Love the finish look and all the features. Great quality for the price.

The table is nice, but it has some issues. It came with some scratches (no big deal), but the corners were broken off, and since it's plywood, it just keeps chipping off everywhere. The hydraulic part is the biggest problem. It moves differently on each side, regardless of how many times it was checked for evenness, tightness, etc. It makes it really hard to lift up the top of the table, and then when closing it, you have to close each side separately because they aren't working evenly. I suspect something is wrong with the hydraulic piece itself. I would love troubleshooting help or replacement parts to help fix the issue.

This coffee table was packaged well. Nothing was missing and there was no damage to any of the pieces. It came with an instruction booklet that's just pictures. If you've never built a piece of furniture before, then the instructions may be a little confusing, but for a seasoned person like me, the instructions were perfect and complete. It was very easy to put together. The gas lift rod was probably the most difficult to put on, as you need to use a bit of force to push the rod into itself so that the holes on the rod line up with the bolts. There were no screw caps or stickers to cover up the holes where the screws are. Not that they were missing from the inventory, it's just not part of the design of this coffee table. Just a bit strange to not include something so small. This is my first lift top table, and the end result was perfect. The alignment of the top was perfect, nothing looked crooked or out of place. The top is a little finicky when lifting up. It tends to want to lift just one side, so I have to use both hands, one on either side of the table, to lift the entire top up. Aside from that, it lifts up quite easily and smoothly. It seems pretty sturdy and I'm confident to place some weight on it. I love that there's storage inside and underneath. The top folds down nice and easy. I wish the espresso color had less wood like texture though.

I had been looking for a new coffee table for a few weeks and couldn't find what I wanted. As a temporary solution I bought this. After reading some reviews my expectations were not high, but for £62 it was worth a try. I found this table quite easy to assemble, definitely a 2 person job. My coffee table is solid, when the top is up it is safe and stable enough for someone to eat there meal off. This was ment to be a temporary solution until I found what I was looking for. I have stopped looking, this is the one. Keeps all your bits and pieces out the way too. No more remotes and pens on view.

Very good coffee table. This is just what I was looking for. The instructions to assemble the table are not quite clear, but there are not too many parts, therefore it is just intuitive to assemble. Once completed, the table is not too big, but this is exactly what I was looking for since it is replacing another table that it was just too big for my space. Table is sturdy, and it looks nice with the rustic style. No problem lifting and lowering the tabletop. Once the tabletop is up, it keeps there safely with no issues, and it is easier to lower down again. Convenient hidden storage compartment to keep your laptop for example, or whatever you need to store.

es algo cansado de armar solo pero no tomo más de dos horas y quedó increíble. buen diseño, buenos materiales e instrucciones casi perfectas, solo hay que ir haciendo los pasos poniendo mucha atención.
