These needles are definitely made of quality materials. Tried out the middle needle size (90/14) of the wide variety given today and I am thoroughly impressed. The first test was sewing together a piece of basic cotton and quality felt. The needle pierced it with ease. I then tried a pre quilted piece of fabric (fabric/lining/fabric w/ a diamond embellished stitch across) and the same basic cotton used in the first test. Not only did it pierce and backstitch the fabric with no complaints, it sailed through the stitches until the end. The needles are rated for performance and I can attest! They fit beautifully in my vintage vogue stitch sewing machine and are certainly universal. At the price point, you truly can’t beat it!

The photo shows like the needles come in little colour coded packages with the associated needle sizes. But the needles came in a tear open plastic package with the needle size on the bag. However, once you rip open the bag you can no longer reuse it. So I'm going to have to figure out a way to code the needles so I know what size they are. Had the product page indicated such, I probably would not have purchased these. Although the needles themselves look fine and feel sturdy. They do have SOMETHING printed on it, but my eyesight cannot discern what it says
