Rubio Monocoat's Best Friend and It Doesn't Know It Yet
Look, I'll be honest. I was skeptical of a polishing pad that costs less than my morning coffee habit. But here we are. I used these to apply Rubio Monocoat to a wood project and they performed like a champ. The non-woven material spreads oil finish beautifully without soaking it all up like some kind of greedy sponge, which is a real problem with cheaper foam pads. You get even coverage without fighting the pad the whole time. The hook and loop backing actually held to my orbital sander without doing that fun thing where it spins off mid-pass and flings finish across the room. 10 out of 10 for not redecorating my shop walls. Zero scratches. Zero drama. If you're using Rubio Monocoat, hardwax oils, or any wax finish, this is for you. You'll thank yourself later.

It's true; they don't scratch!
I cut these down to smaller squares to apply hard wax and penetrating oil finishes on my woodworking projects. The name is true; they do not scratch a polished wood surface. The fibers stay intact for the most part even when cut into smaller pieces, so cutting them down doesn't make them unravel or fall apart or anything like that. It's a good product and I'm happy with them.

Go to brand of non-woven pads. Use it all the time to apply rubio monocoat with my 6in Random Orbital...trim to fit

Used to spread stain on wood. held up well and worked as intended, very very mild abrasion so just perfect to knock down wood fibres that stand up as applying/next coating. dont absorb too much but still hold and release as needed. they last a good amount of time.

Used this to help apply Natura OneCoat. Really worked well. Similar to the 3M version.
