comparing to energy bars and gels, does this turn into energy as fast as them or does it hit hours later?

It is like an energy bar with out the added vitamins and supplements a energy bar would have! It works you will feel the difference from the packet!

Why do you say that there is no added sugar when the ingredients say that it contains cane syrup? Are you trying to claim that cane syrup isn't sugar?

No I didn’t say anything about sugar the vitamins and supplements that are normally in protein bars! I do recommend the Fbomb only as a snack in between meals!And don’t eat more than one! Cause I was eating them two at a time and I been dealing with bad acne from it one packet should get you threw the till you eat a meal,there loaded with a lot of fat too!
