Bought this as a replacement for previous Tefal steam generator which was quite old. I like the fact that the iron is much lighter in weight. It does produce a lot of steam which can cause little droplets of water to collect on floor below ironing board. I am buying a new ironing board with steam repelling base material to see if I can reduce the water droplets. Need a new one anyway so this is why 5 stars given for iron.

This is a Brilliant steam iron I couldn't wait to try it out when it arrived. This iron was so easy to set up and effortless to use. It's very light when ironing and I like that you remove the water tank to fill and empty it with ease. I had my last Tefal iron for more than 10 years so I had to get another Tefal.

Opened box (damaged at one corner) removed polystyrene packaging, set up iron added water and switched on. It told me, water needed. Odd I thought but rinse and repeat - same message. It started to heat up next time but then stopped, same message but on seventh try it all worked OK . Instructions had told me that the message was because the water container (brand new...) needed cleaning, but no advice as to how. I guess some of the packaging, maybe particles of polystyrene, had got in somehow which begs questions about the packaging. Once working though, all very good - hope it remains so when next in use

I bought this to replace my last Tefal steam generator iron and love it even more than that one. (I hate ironing, it's relative).I love the fact you can stand it up on its bottom while you readjust what you're ironing (rather than having to replace it on its stand), I love the really strong, hot steam that comes out, and I love how straightforward the controls are as hopefully it means my husband/teenagers won't break it the first time they try to iron something themselves.I bought a different iron before I got that but I couldn't stand it on the ironing board when I readjusted whatever I was ironing, so I sent it back. This is brilliant and makes ironing so much less painful.

I've had this Tefal High Pressure Steam Generator Iron, Pro Express Protect for a couple of months. I've read the user manual.The USP of this iron (why I bought it) is that it protects your fabric by turning any water that comes out, into steam so it can't mark your fabric.Well it spits out water all the time, and sometimes that water is brown.I've cleaned out the calc filter and that made no difference (there was barely any calc in there).Consequently I now have to iron all my products under a sheet of fabric, to catch any brown water that the iron spits out. So I now need to iron twice - once in steam mode under fabric, and then again in non-steam mode without the protective fabric sheet (to dry out the moisture in the product).Really disappointing.
