I’ve been using this for two weeks so far with my second grader and it is really helpful. We do one page a day and I can tell it is helping to reinforce concepts in bite sized, manageable chunks. However, these concepts are not new to my son and I don’t think this would’ve been a good fit for my son’s learning style had this been the first introduction. For many students, who can pick up and memorize grammar and spelling rules quickly, it wouldn’t matter if you used this book as an introduction or review. For my student, he requires a certain level of consistent practice on one topic before moving on and I think this book covers more topics quicker than his needs require, for an introduction. This workbook is EXACTLY what we needed to help him finish mastering these concepts though.

I really like the layout of this book. I homeschool and it has really helped me teach some foundational things. I haven't found anything wrong yet.

We used this for second grade homeschooling and we loved it! Very clear to understand, and worksheets were engaging. There was a review after every lesson and answer sheets in the back of the book. I added some sample pages. Highly recommend this book for second grade language arts. Price was very reasonable as well!

This was a pretty good book for beginning grammar. We didn't have a formal curriculum for reading up until this year when we decided to try a boxed curriculum for language arts. It reinforced things we had covered. Not perfect but really a pretty good resource.

I bought this book for my son who lives outside the US and is ahead of his class with his English studies. This book is very easy to use, it has clear instructions and good practice for each subject. I tear out the pages for each lesson so he does not need to carry the whole book in his schoolbag. I love it, but what's more important is that HE enjoys working on it.

Lessons are short but super effective.
