I ended up returning this but that was due to someone else owning the game. I have played it and the quality is amazing. A very fun and intense experience with a high replay value as well. Would recommend to fans of horror and Intrigue as well. This game is in most cases a reskin of battle star Galactica which for me is a better option. I think this is great value for money and would be amazing in someone's collection.

Unfathomable is a bit technical the first time you play. The rules and mechanics take some time to grasp, so patience is definitely required on the initial playthrough. However, once you get the hang of it, the game is incredibly fun and immersive. It’s easy to lose track of time as you get drawn into the strategy and storytelling. Perfect for players who enjoy a deep, engaging board game experience that challenges you mentally but rewards with great gameplay. Highly recommend giving it a couple of plays to fully appreciate what it offers.

The game is a rebrand of the famous cooperative, deduction secret roll game Battlestar Galactica where you take on diffrent characters from the show with different abilities and gain roles that allow you to make important decisions that will effect survival or your ship whilst trying to find out who is a non human player that tries to sabotage the crew. It's the same premise but now you fighting the Deepones and the secret hybrids who are amongst ypu in a 1920 cruise ship trying to escape the Dagon and Mother Hydra of Cthulhu Mythos. This version of the game address some previous game flaws and is overall well produced and a great rebrand! You would think they use the original Arkham Horror characters for this (that we all know and love) as it is Fantasy Flight Games we are talking about, but no! These are unique characters never seen in any Arkham Files series so that was a pleasant surprise. Played it once unfortunately but had a blast! Great game if you have friends to play with. 😅

The game box arrived damaged. Unfortunately I didn't notice this before I went on and sleeved all the cards. Otherwise I would most certainly have returned the product. The outer box was in good shape which suggest the actual game box was damaged before it was shipped out.

BSG aka Battlestar Galactica has been Holy Grail of boardgames even since its release but it has been almost impossible to get. After years of begging, finally FFG have made a remake of the game but it is set in their Arkham Files universe so we can be relieved they won't stop printing the game in the near future (see Arkham Horror for example). Unfathomable plays like the original but it is more streamlined and more combat heavy as everyone will have to work together to combat the deep ones. Having 2 actions per turn keeps the action going and once everyone knows what to do is pretty smooth going. At first glance the game seems impossible for the humans but with more plays it is doable. The core set has a lot of replay value but i am interested if they incorporate the other BSG expansions into Unfathomable. As a big fan of the original, I approve the changes of this game and will wholeheartedly recommend it.

You can tell a lot of love was put into the game, It was very exciting and challenging 10/10 highly recommend.

The is a co-operative game with a hidden traitor mechanics. I have two members of my family that hate traitor mechanics because it feels like they are lying, but with this game you can reveal any time you want. This creates less pressure. The game is very balanced. It usually takes us 4 hours to finish with the longest being 6 hours. The board is gorgeous. The plastic molds are good quality and the same with the cards. The first couple of times we lost to the deep but then we learned how to beat them. Certain characters work well together.

Recomendable para quienes gustan de imaginar y hacer inmersión el juego. Una vez que aprendes a jugarlo fluye perfectamente. Te llevará un poco más de dos horas una partida pero vale la pena.
