Good price for 2-in-1 book. Ideal for K-3nd grade readers
My tomboy 8 year old daughter now said TMNT are her favorite characters (at Christmas it was the Avengers). So, she received these books from the Easter bunny in her basket. They are great books. The 2 books in 1 is nice. It looks like each character has about 50-60 pages. There are 4 colored pages at the beginning of each characters section, there's a big picture of the character, then a two page description of the character along with an explanation of their weapon, then lastly, a colored picture of the whole team. The reading level is a little easy for my 2nd grader, but not too much so. These books aren't taking her long to read, so I wish they had more to them. When flipping through the book I can see that on most pages there's a picture on the page or adjacent page, sometimes not taking up the entire page, just partial. So, that cuts down on content, but can help if you have a child who likes pictures to stay engaged.I read the books myself and both books combine to make one story, but in the Leonardo section it tells the beginning of the story from his point of view. Then it switches halfway through the story and goes to Donatello's narrative for the last half of the story. It's a great story explaining the beginning of the turtles and how they met April and a brief explanation of Splinters history (I was a huge TMNT fan when I was a child, so this was a good refresher!). Overall, I think they are great books. I wish they had some more challenging TMNT books out there, but I haven't seen any.

Crisp, Direct Story and Good Drawings
Our little guys all love the Turtles and are starting to read. This book was just right. There are many action oriented drawings that advance the story and help explain the narrative. The story is written mostly in strong, direct short sentences. It starts with some nice background explanation that is familiar to any Turtle fan, which helps to glide the young reader into the story. Because it's punchy and direct it is manageable, even when some advanced words show up. The rat-a-tat approach also keeps up the pace and the interest level. The upshot is that we got an interesting Turtle story and a good intro level reading experience. That was all fine by me, and the book went over just as I had hoped it would. A nice find.

A Must Read
My sons, ages 7 and 9, love this book as well as the entire series. It is easy to read and the storyline excites them. Anything that keeps their interest is a good find to me, and this book definitely fits the bill.

Nephew loves it
I bought this book for my nephew who has a few of the other books in this set. He was so excited as Leonardo is his favorite. Great books. My nephew is 9 if you are gauging age appropriate. This was a very well liked gift for his birthday.

Great story book.
It's great for kids to read to inspire them. Leo's my fave turtle from this new series. He has a great mind to try to become a great hero. I already had the other book with Mikey and Raph. I haven't read Don's half just yet, but will get to it.

Me ha gustado
Está bien escrito, representa bien la opinión de los personajes, pero hay cosas que no pasan en la serie y en el libro sí, y también me hubiera gustado que las opiniones de los personajes duraran más.Por lo demás estuvo genial.
