Love this thing
I’m really impressed with my Satechi power passthrough 4 port USB C Hub. It’s really slick, streamlined, and really good looking too. It works well, doesn’t get hot or even warm to the touch.

Arrived on time, in good condition, functioning as advertised.
This was one of only three or four 4-port USB-C hubs I was able to find. The others IIRC were made by Acer, Belkin, and Rosewill. Of the four, only this one and the Belkin also had power-delivery capabilities, and this one was slightly cheaper. The cable is a little short, only about 17cm. This can be good or bad depending on your use case. Personally, I think it's adequate, as it's plugged into my monitor, so not having a bunch of extra cable to tie up is a good thing, although it's a little odd to have it partially hanging rather than sitting flat on my desk. Again, not a bad thing, because it's quite light, so nothing is being stressed. However, people who want to plug it into a port on the rear of a tower will most likely need to purchase a USB-C male-to-female cable extension, keeping in mind that to use this hub to it's full capability, you would need a USB4 certified extension rated for 40gbps data & 100w power delivery. Overall, I am pleased. I will most likely use this for a very long time, at least until USB-C completely replaces USB-A.

Works with USB-C ethernet adapter and Sidecar to iPad Pro.
I figured I'd be hosed trying to find a USB-C hub with 4 USB-C ports and have it work with what I need. Well, this hub does the trick and is nowhere near the cost of higher end hubs that fail to deliver. I've used the OWC Thunderbolt hub and it works great, only it is too big and bulky to carry all the time. I needed a way to expand the lame two USB-C ports on my M1 Macbook Pro and maintain some (most) of the functionality the OWC hub gives me. My priorities were: 1. Extra USB-C ports. 2. Ability to Sidecar to my iPad using USB and not wireless. 3. Work with a USB-C to ethernet adapter. 4. Keep costs below $75. This hub gave me all of that and, including the cost of the ethernet adapter, I got what I wanted for less than fifty bucks. Yeah, it might not be the fastest transferring files, its unable to passthrough charge, and you can't connect a monitor to it (well, you can but it won't work). It suits my needs though and as a bonus it charges my iPad while I'm using it as a second screen. Now I have a lot less clutter at work and four pounds less weight to drag around with no loss of functionality. I'd call this great bang for my bucks.

Provides Only 75W Power to Laptop, Information Online is Not Accurate
This hub can provide up to 100W power when plugged into a suitable power supply with enough watts via the one USB-C port labeled to accept power. 75W can go to the computer via the attached USB-C cord, and the remaining 25W is distributed to the other ports. According to the User Manual that comes with the product, and information from the manufacturer when I asked them, the 85W shown in the images online at Amazon is not correct. The manufacturer also said that if you plug the unit into a power supply with more than 100W it will not damage the unit, but the power output will not be more than 75W to the computer and 25W to the other ports. The unit itself is very lightweight and appears well built. Even if not plugged into a power supply, but just plugged into my computer, it was able to power small external SSD hard drives.

Perfect USB-C hub!
*If you are reading this and wondering if you should get it, or a competitor product that slightly lower in price... just get this one. You won't regret it.* I already wrote a review, but I forgot to add photos. 1) I couldn't find a hub that had more than 2 USB-C ports; 2) This thing is tiny, doesn't demand attention, and built with aluminum. Not plastic, and doesn't feel cheap; 3) a life saver. I took velcro and mounted the little sucker under my MacBook mount. Now I could plug in my external drives, SD reader, and use the ports on my computer for other peripherals. One thing I was worried about was transfer speeds. I don't expect the fastest speeds ever, but I don't want to regret my purchase if it was going to give me more of a headache than a solution. To my surprise, the transfer speeds are fast, and feel faster than when they were plugged directly into my computer. One hard drive in particular always gave me trouble mounting. it would take forever. Since I purchased this drive it mounts in seconds. I've used Satechi before, and their product have proven to me over and over to be reliable and of quality. *If you are reading this and wondering if you should get it, or a competitor product that slightly lower in price... just get this one. You won't regret it.*

Flaky and Fickle
Worked great for a month. Went to plug in a spare ssd to back up files from tablet and it never has worked since. No data or power through any ports. The light turns on and stays solid but is just dead. Waste of my money for now it is outside of return and I am having troubles getting in touch with Satechi.

Works perfect with Duet 2 and iPad Pro as stand alone DAC for music streaming.
This thing is killer and checks all the boxes. I needed a handshake PD power source like Apple 20v or higher to keep my iPad Pro up and running without over-charging, then send a clean full bit perfect music signal out USB-C to Apogee Duet 2 being used as a stand alone DAC. Works perfect and the sound is awesome even when compared directly with other USB-C adapter hubs claiming to be audiophile grade. Honestly, happy to have found this.

Very good with externals!
I wasn't sure this would have to be sent back or not to Amazon. I have 8 external hard drives, 2 printers, Casio keyboard, computer keyboard, mouse, mic, etc. to plug into my iMac. The Satechi hub took a USB-C external drive and another hub plugged into it. The external plugged into the Satechi hub is supporting 3 USB devices and I can load in my SD card for transferring pictures to the computer! It was more the most mini USB hubs in price but well worth it for doing the job!

I use this to transfer data between 4 16 TB RAID 5 drives, on both Mac OS X and Windows 10 computers. No connectivity problems with either OS X or Win10. Great not to have to use USB A-USB C adaptors, as with other USB hubs. The product was so useful, I bought four of them! Note, this hub is not for charging or video signals, just data. Edit: this works so well and is so useful that I have npw bought six of them!

Good quality and nice design

Fast and good working hub, make shure you buy these with the power option, an other (older?) has slower data transmission and no power delivery (usually that one is sold slightly cheaper)
