Does what it says it does
TLDR: Saved me from a massive sunburn at the beach in San Diego! I'd buy it again.Took the kids to see the grandparents in San Diego over the 4th of July week. Grandparents had gotten the kids some boogie boards, so all the kids wanted to do was go to the beach. Arrived in town on Saturday night, so Sunday morning we were at the beach. Now, I am the definition of a pasty white guy. If you look in the dictionary for "pasty white guy" you will find a picture of me waving back. Because of this, as a general rule, I hate the beach. I bring my own massive sunshade, I own multiple swim shirts whose main purpose is to keep the sun off of me. I ALWAYS wear a massive hat and have, after years of work figured out which sunscreens ACTUALLY work, and liberally apply it every hour so (it's zinc-based, so I am basically even MORE pasty and white at the end of the day at the beach than when I started!). And to top it all off, I STILL only go out in the sun for about 20-30 minutes at a time. (My wife HATES going to the beach with me. She (and my kids) are all water/sun people.) So I employed ALL of these techniques on that Sunday, as my kids frolicked in the surf, slathered in sunscreen. By the end of that Sunday, I was FRIED. (The UV Index was at 10.6, without accounting for the water reflection, which almost doubles it!) The only parts NOT fried were what was covered by the swim shirt. Not only that, both of my kids and my wife (who were liberally slathering themselves in sunscreen) were ALSO fried (first real sunburn either of my kids has EVER gotten in their lives!). Even my mother-in-law, who has lived in San Diego forever and hasn't gotten a sunburn since the Nixon era, got burned. So basically, we had a week of playing at the beach planned, and there was no way in Hell I was going anywhere near the sand again. So my wife goes hunting on Amazon and comes up with this shirt. I make sure it has a hood because my neck got fried. We weren't willing to spend much money in case it was crap, so we order it with Prime. The next day we skip the beach and head to the Zoo and everyone nurses their sunburns. The following day we all hide out in house, shrieking like vampires when we see daylight, and Lo and Behold Amazon arrives with this shirt.#1 - it's comfy#2- it fits (I'm 6'4, 215lbs, I wear a 16.5"/37" shirt, and a 44L jacket, just for reference, and I ordered the XL size)#3 - It does what it says (read below!)So the next day back to the beach. The UV index is 10.6, again! I slather up, throw this on, and since the surf is up, head out to help wrangle kids on boogie boards. I get lazy. I'm in the water for over an hour multiple times. I forget to put on sunscreen over and over and over and over again. I get home, I'm not burned. The next day (4th of July) we head back to the beach with a million of our closest strangers, I throw on the shirt, skip the sunscreen, straight into the surf. At one point I was out there for 2.5 hours straight. At the end of the day, I had a little bit of color (not burned, but not quite pasty white) on my shoulders and upper back. Not bad for no sunscreen and over 7 combined hours in the sun in one day (12 in two days). Conclusion: Will this keep you pasty white if you stand under the blazing desert or ocean sun for 12 hours straight? I doubt it. Does it do what it says and act as an SPF50 to let you actually get out of the house and interact like a human? Yup!Would I buy it again? - Absolutely!

Straight Awesome
I'm a pretty discerning, picky clothing buyer. I've returned many o' shirt...many o' sock...many o'...a pant. But this hoodie is straight awesome. The style is fresh to death, its comfy as a motha falcon, and it makes the sun shoot blanks. No ray is penetrating this lightweight, breathable yet burly sp rated hoodie. I wore mine often while hiking out in the Northern Cascades above treeline and it saved my pale arse on many o' trail. All jokes aside though...this is a great product. As much as you can love a clothing item before it gets weird, I love it that much. Just before I decided to write this review I signed on to Amazon to buy two more! Pull the trigger on it. You wont be disappointed.

Great for outdoor activities
Got one of these for my brother. He wears it all the time for fishing. The nice thing is it keeps him cool and at the same time protects him from the sun. He's gotten fish guts on it and for some reason it always comes clean in the wash. Ordered another for my other brother who is very fair and sensitive to sun. Highly recommend these. Great price, too.

BUY 1 SIZE HIGHER THAN YOU NEED.
I am 6’ 2” 248lbs with broad shoulders and usually wear a XXL but I bought a XXXL at the advice of many of these reviewers. I am very glad I did because it is DEFINITELY a slim fit for the size, particularly in the arms. My needs are probably a little different because I bought this primarily for an upcoming trip to the deserts of Northern Arizona and southern Utah rather than watersports which is what it seems to be marketed and sized for. I sort of hoped it would be a looser fit, but it should fit well enough, not super tight but I’m not lost in it either. It just feels more like a XXL than a XXXL. If they made a 4XL I probably would have ordered that to get a super loose/maximum airflow fit. After my trip I will update my review for performance and add or subtract stars based on how it does out there. For now the comfort is decent. Feels good on the skin and not too hot or cold. Hood fits well and I appreciate the rounded design with a 4” center panel with two seams rather than a pointy hood with a single center seam.Quality of material seems good, stitching may be a little sub-par but I’ll update after a bit of wear and tear for a final, comprehensive review.

Good Sun Protection.
This works, I was able to be outside most of the day in the sun and did not get sunburnt. It is lightweight and really doesn’t stop the wind, so it is not really hot to wear on a sunny day. Seems to work good even if wet. And dries reasonably quick. The hood keeps the sun off my neck. Only needed sunscreen on face and hands. Not quite five stars, but close enough to give it five. I bought two of these, one gray, the other light blue. Sizing is fairly accurate. Fits more like an under shirt as opposed to an outer shirt for a given size. May buy another.

Hiked the PCT with this shirt. Great Job!
I kid you not, I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (2650 miles), having only ONE outfit, and this shirt was part of it. I sweated and beat this shirt so much and it took it all. It would get it so dang crusty with days on days of sweat and not washing it, and the stains came out every time. I mean literally CRUSTY. Like there was hard lines of salt caked into the fabric. But it took it like a champ. I loved this shirt. I still do. Im going to keep it forever tbh. I have so many memories in this shirt, Im going to cry just thinking about it. I hiked, and put in so many miles in this, and then for all those miles, I made friends, and laughed, cried, and partied it up in this shirt. Me and this shirt, we lived, nay, we THRIVED together from Mexico to Canada. Let me say this. Life is amazing, and so is this shirt. Happy Trails!

Happy with this product - my second Baleaf product
I bought this for my vacation knowing I would be spending a lot of time under the sun. It protected well and it felt fresh inside. This is my second Baleaf product, first was a pair of running shorts. I chose it because of price while getting good materials. Materials are great but fit is not as good as more mainstream yet expensive sports clothing brands.

It works
Greatly priced as alternatives were £50+. Hope it lasts a while. Everything with the item was great except that the sleeves are not long enough to be able to use the thumb holes, my arms are on the longer side so I guess that’s not the products fault. I’m 6ft 1.

Different but useful
Love this product..... lightweight enough to be an additional winter layer or just a summer covering. Think every wardrobe would benefit from this garment.

ORDER A SIZE SMALLER THAN WHAT THE SIZE CHART SAYS
The material is nice. It's light, soft, and looks good- or it would if it was the right size.I'm 210 pounds, 6'4", ordered a double XL.I SWIM in this thing. It sits way below my waist, the arms are too long, and I could practically fit another person in it.Do yourself a favor and order a size down if you want it to actually fit. I don't know what they were using to measure out sizes for this- maybe a hippo that plays basketball.

strange fit
Strange fit, tight in the shoulders and chest area but loose in the back/front is ok.I got the black just because that was the only colour available for size L but now I think I made a mistake.Black keeps you super hot and I am not sure what percentage of that is the colour or the material.Material feels cheap, I have other shirts from brand names and there is a huge difference-you get what you pay.
