I had the haakaa and returned it to get this instead since the haakaa has lost suction and fallen off of my breast several times in the past…losing many ounces of precious breast milk. If you know you know. Spilling it is the worst. THIS Medella one is so much better because I’d put the lanyard around my neck prior to using it and if it lost suction it would just hang on me until I fixed it. No more spilled milk!

This is the only one people should be buying. The suction at the base makes it spill proof and the accessories make it easy to pop into the fridge for the fridge method.

Best product ever invented!!! No milk goes to waste

I bought the Medela silicone breast milk collector after realizing I really needed something with a suction base. I originally started using the simple Haakaa that doesn’t have the suction on the bottom, and while I liked it for collecting letdown, I quickly learned how easy it is to accidentally knock it over. After a few close calls with spilling milk, I decided I wanted a version that could stick to surfaces a little better. I chose this Medela one mainly because it was a more affordable option compared to the Haakaa model that includes the suction base. For what I needed it for, it works well. The suction base definitely helps with stability and makes me feel a lot more comfortable setting it down on a table or counter without worrying as much about spills. I also like that it comes with a stopper lid. That’s been really useful when I want to temporarily cover the milk before transferring it. A nice bonus I discovered is that the lid actually fits my Haakaa collector as well, which was a pleasant surprise and makes it even more practical. That said, the silicone quality doesn’t feel quite as soft or high-quality as the Haakaa. You can definitely notice the difference in texture and flexibility between the two. The Haakaa feels a bit nicer overall. Even with that difference, I still use this Medela collector every day and it does exactly what I bought it for: collecting letdown and preventing spills thanks to the suction base. It may not feel quite as premium, but it’s still a very practical and useful tool.

I absolutely loved this milk collector. It’s practical, easy to use, and very comfortable. I was impressed by how efficient it is at collecting milk naturally, without any effort, and it’s also super easy to clean. Definitely a product every breastfeeding mom should have, as it makes the process so much easier and prevents any milk from going to waste. Highly recommended!

I bought this in hopes to save some money, but it’s definitely not as good as the original. It pops off quite easily! It does work otherwise, but I’ve spilled more milk with this brand unfortunately.

There are a few reasons why I love this product. I also have a hakaa, which was a lifesaver when I discovered it. However, this one has three key features that make it superior: (1) the silicone is thicker and stays on the breast better, (2) the suction cup on the bottom prevents tipping, and (3) the yellow stopper provides quick capping when you’re sleep deprived so you don’t have to worry about spilling; of course, it comes with the white cap as well. Overall, really great product, and I tend to recommend it more than the hakaa!

I stopped using my electric pumps for this!! So much more convenient and simple! I bought 2 and was given one, I keep one in my car, one at home, and one in diaper bag. Much better than haaka since it has a function on bottom, lanyard and cover to avoid spillage!

Sou doadora de leite e achei este o método mais fácil para extração de leite materno. É bastante simples, só deixar fluir enquanto o bebê mama o outro seio. É bem mais confortável de usar que a bomba elétrica, o silicone molinho faz um bom vácuo na mama. Achei a vedação e o conforto no seio bem melhores que a coletora da Nuby. Me alivia bastante quando o seio está muito cheio, não me machuca e não faz bagunça.

Fantastic product; lasts quite a while; the suction slowly sucks out milk from the breast, no pain at all. Helps collect milk that would be wasted while the baby feeds. I personally feel my milk supply also increased because I was able to remove milk from the other breast while my baby fed on the other. Love the fact that I didn’t even need to use a pump ( which are expensive & tedious) ; as I was able to store the extra milk collected which came in handy whenever I needed to be somewhere else. Super happy and would recommend all new mothers to buy this before buying a pump

As far as milk collectors go this one was great. I liked that it came with the lanyard and the stopper. the suction cup bottom is fantastic and I wish that my other milk collectors had this. Cleaned really easily and is good sturdy quality.

So convenient when you’re breastfeeding with your hands busy, having the lanyard as an extra device. Suction is good too
