This is going to be the only product I buy to deal with the flies. Yes it’s loud and you jump when it attracts a fly etc but that’s a small price to pay for its reliability. They also include replacement bulb tubes…excellent value!!!

Wish I bought one of these years ago, so many terrible neighbours in London that don’t take their rubbish out and breed flies! So happy I have this as it does the job really well managing the flies coming into my home. The big ones I will get them out. The smaller ones you can’t see End up in this trap. I feel bad but what can you do? Otherwise, you are breeding flies like everyone else.

Works a treat, but it is LOUD! Having seen other reviews about the noise and having had another brand before I just thought, "how bad could it really be?" Well, be prepared. It is a really, really loud and sharp cracking sound that /always/ causes a bit of a fright! No doubt it works but the noise isn't one you can really get used to. Be mindful if you have any pets around, too, they'll be sure to get a fright when it goes off.

While this model costs a little bit more than some, it was worth the extra money. It's basically plug and play and kills fruit flies by the score during the Summer months. I no longer worry about leaving apples or bananas on the kitchen counter. The demise of every fly is heralded by a satisfyingly loud 'crack'. The bigger the fly, the louder the 'crack'. The extra UV tubes give peace of mind but I've had this for a good 7 months and the originals are still going strong.

One of the two uv tubes was not working. The two safe tubes supplied were damaged. I purchased two replacement tubes of the correct specification. Neither of these would work when fitted in the sockets replacing the tube that was not working when the zapper was delivered. Can only assume there is a fault with the product. Contacted the seller twice and no offer of a replacement. Have thrown the zapper away and purchased an alternative brand which works exceptionally well. A bonus is that there is no loud crack like a rifle shot when a fly touches the electrified grill. Something that has been mentioned by another reviewer.

Really good for mosquitos and moths that are heavily drawn to the light, not so good for standard houseflies unless they happen to fly into the light randomly. Easy to clean, sturdy enough and not too bright that it's super annoying. The noise can be surprising and give you a jump / fright when it goes off.

Really useful purchase. Wish we'd had one of these years ago. It has proved completely effective at zapping flies and bugs. It has even dealt with those seriously annoying tiny fruit flies. Slight downside is the seriously loud and rather surprising 'bang' it makes as each flying insect is despatched. Or maybe that should read 'upside' as you certainly know this device is working. I know... we shouldn't laugh as each insect meets its demise with a bang not a whimper. But we do.

Este aparato para matar insectos duró casi 5 años funcionando perfectamente con los focos originales. El año pasado se fundió una bombilla y se cambió por una de las de repuesto pero se volvió a fundir en menos de un año, y junto con esa, se fundió la otra original. Y desafortunadamente no revisé la caja original y la otra bombilla de repuesto venía rota. Así que compré unos repuestos de la misma marca aunque habían algunos de otras y genéricos, pero al recibirlos venían rotos. Lo intentaré otra vez y si no funciona pues aunque el aparato funciona increíblemente, voy a tener que comprar otro. Y de otra marca porque este ya no está disponible vía Prime. Que lástima, porque cuando lo compramos salió tan bueno que compramos 3 y todos seguían funcionando hasta ahora.
