Works Perfectly with AlfaOBD and FORScan
I bought the Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 adapter specifically because it’s the recommended choice for AlfaOBD, and it has performed flawlessly. Setup was easy, and the connection is fast and stable. I’ve also used it with FORScan, and it works just as well there—no dropped connections or lag. It reads data quickly and reliably, making it a great tool for diagnostics and programming. Build quality feels solid, and it’s been trouble-free so far. If you need a reliable adapter for AlfaOBD or FORScan, this one is a great choice.

If you use FORScan, this is the one to have!
If you use FORScan or intend to use FORScan, this is the connector to have. This is the least expensive of the recommended connectors, but I can't yet figure out why. But let's get into my experience with is thus far. It arrived earlier than initially estimated which is a good thing. In the box was the connector and a bi-fold user manual labelled as "Getting Started". My first reaction of this document is that what should have been the front, was at the back, and what should have been at the back, at the front. Odd, but easily overlooked. The connector itself looks very well put together and has some amount of style to it. It's not just a brick with lights and a wire coming out of it. It's somewhat ergonomic and the plastic seems to be of good quality non-shiny material. Like I said, no idea why it's the cheapest. One thing I will say is that this is not plug-and-play. It requires you to download and install a driver from a website, which the manual does a good job of directing you to. This is where things got a little confusing because the manual doesn't tell you specifically which driver to install, except to say "Please select the driver according to your computer system." On the website where you download the driver, a table populated with different links for different systems had a row for Windows, and a column for 32-bit and 64-bit. I installed it on a Windows 10 64-bit machine, so I clicked on the link for that driver. It was actually a zipped file. That's fine if I wanted to manually install the various bits and pieces. Pass on that. The actual executable (.exe) file that does everything automatically, was all the way over in the "Comments" column, labelled as "setup executable". I clicked on that and the prompt to download the .exe file popped up and so on. When it was finished, I ran the file and everything installed without a hitch. Now that I think about it, perhaps this is why it's the cheapest. It's not plug-and-play.If you haven't already installed FORScan you can do so. See their website for your download options. After you've done that just plug the connector into the laptop and then run FORScan. The manual for the connector says to connect it to the car before you open FORScan, but doing that resulted in an error and FORScan closing. I recommend you connect it to the OBDII port after FORSCan has already opened. This connector works seamlessly with FORScan and allows high speed (HS) CAN bus and medium speed (MS) CAN bus modules to be read simultaneously because it switches back and forth automatically. Highly recommended!

It works with Forscan
The cable worked with Forscan and I was able to program a light sequence on the car.

No issues, handy!
It works! The plug is a pretty tight fit in my 2019 Ford Ranger ODB port, which I guess is good, keeps it from coming lose. No issues at all interfacing with the FORScan software on my Win10Pro Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 using the recommended drivers (there's a website link). FORScan is a very interesting and useful tool, even if you don't really want to mess with the vehicle parameters--I'm mostly interested in the diagnostics and monitoring features.

Works perfect
This has worked perfectly for my 2022 F150 XLT Sport. There are some things that need to be known that are not included in the instructions. First down load forscan and install. After that is complete you need to go to the settings and get to the area for activation and get the product code. You will copy the code and then return to the web page, sign up with your info and paste the code from the app. I typically takes around 10 minutes to get the code generated from the website. Once you get it, you need to follow the instructions on downloading the code to your computer and save it in a place you can find ( I used the desktop). You will then return to the app and go into that setting page and upload to activate your 2 month trial. With this cord, you are directed to website to get the device drivers for windows. The correct one to down load is on the far right side of the page in the table for windows that has the zip file with the exe file in it. Follow the install instructions and you are good to go. You will need to change the speed and the increase in setting but that was plainly shown in the instructions. After that I have had zero issues. Turned off hyper flash turned off other things and discovered I had a few issues.

Use this with the Forscan software and reading your car codes is easy!
I've ordered several code scanners over the years and most haven't been that great. I bought this one to use with the Forscan software that I had installed on my laptop. The codes read quickly in an easy-to-understand manner. I was quickly able to diagnose which of my rear parking sensors needed to be replaced. My only complaint is that the unit I received had a loose connection. When I plugged it into my laptop, I could cause the usb connection to be lost by bending the cable a little bit on the OBD plug side. Once I plugged it in, I had to be sure I didn't jostle the cable.

Cheaper than the Dealer
Be prepared to install a driver depending on your system. To add to a cascading nightmare, my PC died the day this arrived. I was unable to use this connector on an M1 Mac running Windows 10 through Bootcamp; however, it runs beautifully on a mid-2009 Macbook Pro running Windows 10 in Parallels. I can only imagine how well this thing would work with a normal Windows computer! Get Forscan from Ford, and activate your product key. Check the forums. THey helped a lot with this relatively easy setup, but it is important to follow the instructions.
