Be aware this is wired/color coded for US travel trailer/RV. If you are using a utility trailer you will have to ignore the color code and use your wiring diagram. That being said, the cord feels heavy duty and decent, the box feels fairly cheaply made and is a little large, however that extra space will come in handy if you want to add anything! For the price; worth it 100%.I took the initiative to silicone the screw holes when attaching to the trailer frame to avoid potential leakage and rust. All in all it is a pretty simple set up; you just need your wire connector of choice and I’d suggest a deep socket set as the dividers between the posts restrict easy access. If you don’t need to figure out a different wiring configuration you should be up and running in 20 min or so! (definitely not an electrician here so I have faith in you! 😉)Here is a pic of work in progress. Even with adjusting the length of the wires etc I was ready to pull, box attached and fully tested in 30 minutes. That includes replacing a fuse in the tow vehicle - (don’t worry, it was out before I started messing with the wiring). For the price and ease of installation I’d definitely buy again.

Very easy to install, I wish I would have discovered this sooner. Makes wire connections on a trailer bullet proof. Its better than they describe and so neat and clean. I have bought other Mictunning products and always found them to be better than they advertise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Nice product. Gave it four stars because of the wire colors. The box comes with a nice diagram showing the color mapping for the wires. The diagram is accurate, as confirmed by probing the trailer plug terminals and junction box terminals using the multimeter's continuity function. The problem is that the wire colors must be the ones used on trailers in China and not in the U.S. So, there are two options (assuming you want to keep the box and not return it): 1. use the Chinese color mapping and keep their diagram in case you need to troubleshoot in the future; or 2. switch the wires around coming into the junction box so that the paint dots on the terminals are consistent with the U.S. standard. I chose option 2. Although I can certainly envision ten years from now (when a wiring problem occurs), someone (maybe me) is going to look in the junction box and seeing how the wire colors don't correspond to the paint dots on the terminals, will exclaim, "what idiot did this wiring job?". Given all that, this junction box is a good product, although next time I buy one I will check to see if I can find one that confirms to the wire colors used in the U.S.

Installed this 4 years and about 40k miles ago. Has performed flawlessly. Just opened it for the 2nd time in 6 months. 1st time was to troubleshoot trailer brakes and then swap out my old axles for new. Today was to install a breakaway device. Both times the inside of the box (where the connections are) are as brand new. No corroded wires, no bad connections. I do crimp on ring terminals when I add wires as that makes for a better connection. I also always run dedicated ground wires to help prevent bad grounds which are so common in trailers. Love this! Oh, and price hasn't changed in 4 years!!!
