AcuRiteIris 06052M Remote Battery Pack for 5-in-1 Weather Sensors

Placed one wire clip backwards but someone knew I would screw that up so they sent two clips for the wire. The installation was easy to complete. Except for my pole.

We bought this reboot battery holder for the outdoor unit for our weather. It was worked well to provide a more convenient remote location for the batteries supplying the unit. Much easier to change out batteries as needed.

I never liked changing batteries in winter, since piled-up snow and (later) mud, make that a serious pain. When I found out that they make a remote battery pack, I jumped at it and after some setup issues requiring a full reset, it has worked perfectly. I lost my historical data, but that's pretty low on the list of concerns, given the greatly improved access to the batteries. The cable is more than long enough for my needs, and the "fake battery" plug fits tightly and properly in the sensor unit.I would highly recommend this extension pack to anyone who either cannot or doesn't want to climb a ladder to change batteries. For me, climbing a ladder is not a big deal, but hauling it out in winter is now a thing of the past.

I should not have bought this on the US website. It was more cost effective buying on the Canadian website with Amazon Prime. The unit works good by keeping the batteries in a heated garage.

This product moves the batteries from the weather station to a location easily accessed to replace the batteries. I had to cut the cable shorter for my application. The wires are very small gauge, it was a little challenging to strip the new ends to reconnect to the battery pack. There simply was not enough room in the electrical box to coil the excess wire. and the squirrels would have destroyed any exposed wire.

Great for those weather stations that are high and out of reach...Also the idea that data is not lost when battery changes are made is the most important.Great product so far !!

Odds are the time the batteries die in your acurite 5 in 1 weather station is going to be in the coldest part of winter. Installed this and with its long cord was able to position the battery pack where is is very easy to access. No more worries about climbing a ladder in the dead of winter to replace batteries. Great product

What a great idea. I now don't have to worry about getting the ladder out to change the batteries any more.AcuRite bring out some great gear.

This remote battery pack is very easy to install and make the batteries change a simple task. My 5 in 1 is installed on a 20' 3/4 inch pipe and changing batteries definitely is a huge task. This simple solution will make it very easy.

A must for the weather station!
