Just a piece of thin plastic paper that doesn't stick! don't bother with this one, it's as light as a Sellotape but doesn't even stick, had to sellotape the corners for it to stay. I thought I was buying a strong self-adhesive plastic that would protect the walls from oil, but I found something that has no meaning but a rip-off

It said heat resistant but it crumbled and shrunk as it was used on a wall next to the stove/cooker.

Despite some of the other reviews I saw, the installation was not as difficult (although we had 2 people working on it, so maybe that's the difference?). It was easy to cut, just like cutting through paper. It stuck to our uneven wall very well, to the point it was a little hard to peel off if it was crooked and we had to re-adjust it. It was thinner than I expected but I don't think that's an issue as long as it works well. Plus, I think it might had had a harder time forming to the un-evenness of the wall if it was too thick. Overall, I think it is worth your money.
