Plum Flower Yin Chiao Chieh Tu Extract, 100 Tablets (2-Pack)

My acupuncturist turned me on to this, and it works great. It works best in the very first moment you think you might possibly have a sniffle or sore throat, but it can also decrease the severity of a cold if you stay on it throughout the illness. I've always used the blister packs and only recently bought the bottle, and the bottle ones seem to work just as well. Like other reviewers, I'm a little confused about the apparent difference in the pills, blister pack vs. bottle, so I'm going to ask the acupuncturist about it. I haven't noticed a difference in how they work.

This stuff is amazing! If you start taking it as soon as you start to feel cold symptoms it stops it in its tracks. Works on the same premise as zicam but no yucky taste to deal with. If you try this I assure you that you will feel the same.

As a new user of Chinese herbals, I am impressed with this product. At the first signs of a cold (sneezing, stuffy nose, wheezing, sore throat, or fatigue) I use it immediately and a cold hasn't developed. Every time. This has prompted me to do some research and I have purchased a companion product, Gan Mao Ling, also for warding off a cold. They are small tablets, easy to swallow four of them, three times a day. I haven't had to take them more one day. I also take one dose of Yin Chiao if I'm going to be in a crowded area or have been exposed. I know using Chinese herbals requires further research for safe, informed use. Re: the company: As far as I know, the Plum Flower company appears to be reputable. The bottle states it is US owned and operated since 1969 and states a quality guarantee: "No pharmaceuticals, Preservative free herbs when available, Scientifically authenticated herbs, Microbial and heavy metal tested, Produced at a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified factory." The herbs are produced in China. Those statements were why I chose this company. Also on the bottle is the phone number and website of the company, always a good sign! The individual herbs are clearly listed, including other ingredients, as you would expect.

Never sick more than 24 hours when I use this. FYI, not for stomach bugs type sick. This is colds or flu with respiratory junk. Take the minute you feel "off" and not like yourself. The trick is to catch it ASAP and start taking. Thr quicker you take this the faster your cold will go away. You have to listen to your body more and be in tune with your symptoms when you use herbs. The day you start feeling good and back to normal after being on this, take it for another day or two and then stop.

I haven’t noticed any real difference after taking these tablets. The dosing feels excessive since you have to take multiple pills several times a day. It would be much more convenient if it were concentrated into fewer pills. Not the easiest to keep up with daily.

Works great when I feel a cold or something else coming on. It stops it.

This brand of Yin Chiao was recommended by my acupuncturist who studied acupuncture and herbal medicine in China. During cold and flu season, I keep bottles at home, at work, and in my purse. At the first sign of illness, I take 8-10 tablets every 4 hours (the dosage recommended by my acupuncturist) until I am feeling better. It seems to either prevent the illness from becoming established or results in a much milder illness than other people experience. I'm a HUGE believer in this product.

Can't be without this. The slightest bit of feeling "off" and taking four of these every few hours nips it in the bud. I also never, ever travel without a bottle. It seems to ward off all the creepies lurking around airports. Everyone I turn onto these feels the same. Great product!
