Is this webcam compatible with Windows 10?

Works for me; I use it for several hours every day for work meetings. It's plug+play and works with the very, very standard "USB Video Class" drivers, so it even works on Linux. Windows 10 is no problem. It's not a great camera, but it's better than the really-cheap fixed-focus 720p models that you could easily still get at the beginning of the COVID lockdown.

Does this camera have a built-in mic?

It's not a very good one, but yes, it does. That said, a separate USB microphone will work much better for video conferencing use, whether it's a conference-room "puck" style omnidirectional, or a single-user one.

is this webcam compatible with windows 8.1?

The software and drivers on the CD that comes with it is for Windows 7. It will not work on Windows 8.0 or 8.1.You will need to go to Windows here:https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-gb/d/lifecam-studio and download and install for Windows 8.1It will then work with SKYPE and Windows Movie Maker. It will only install he software to work withSkype and Windows Movie Maker. You can make web cam videos and snapshots with Windows Movie Maker.
