Learning curve
The belt itself is of somewhat decent quality. I do feel like it will dry out sooner than other bands I’ve used. You get what you pay for.I installed this belt into my “Two Spool Sewing Machine” in a cabinet. I repair and restore antique machines all the time, but this was the most difficult replacement I’ve ever done. This was my first time replacing a treadle band, and it is a bit harder than it looks. I got lucky and somehow got it to work on my first try, but I definitely won’t do it that way again. It took 2 people to get this completely installed, and we used industrial strength staples because I cut it about 2mm short.Even with all the issues while installing, the belt works great! No slipping, it’s sturdy and gets the job done.I would highly recommend getting 2 cords instead of one. If you’re a newbie, you’re most likely to make a mistake and having the backup belt is very convenient.
