Amd ryzen is better than this one as per my opinion it is costly than it worth don't buy it

Was eyeing this cpu for my server for a while. Was concerned with cooling it. Now that the server is liquid cooler, that's not an issue anymore. Works well, 36 cores are going to be useful to run several VMs. Single thread it's not much faster than the 7900x that it replaced, maybe 10%. Not as fast at my threadripper, but close, maybe if I tinker with OC parameters, I can get more out of it, but primarily I wanted more cores, and 36 is certainly more than 20. Is it worth the 1k, probably not, but only enough it's a simpler config with a sage 10g motherboard than trying to repurpose the threadripper setup.

...but to get all the juice out of it, you need a good mobo, 8 sticks of good RAM memory, and a liquid cooler to go with it, otherwise it is a waste of money, you can find cheaper solutions there in the wild... The box was delivered in time and it had all as promised inside. Good vendor, 5 stars.
