Many of the reviews said that the item is opaque, it is transparent- there is a film on both sides that needs to be removed before use. I used the tip of a knife to get it started. I used it to create an amazing cranberry drink and it contained all the smoke in the glass. Great accessory!

We love a smoked cocktail and these cup covers work very well with our smoking gun set up. They are very easy to use as you just insert the end of the tube into the cover and turn the smoking gun on. The center hole has a rubber grommet which seals well around the tube end. The covers sit level on the glasses keeping the smoke inside. The size is large enough to cover all the glasses we have used from rocks glasses to highball glasses.

Work well but kind of pricey for what they are. They do work perfect though!
