If You're Man, Shop Like One
I have been growing my beard for the past 6 months, which I believe is the longest it's ever been (nothing impressive, but quite thick). I regularly used the same shampoos and conditioners that I used on my head, but my beard always felt brittle and coarse. With a quick google search, I realized there was a whole world of beard products that I had never known about. This is an excellent, gentle shampoo that lathers into a rich wash for the face fur. The smell is a little unusual, and the "woodsy" description sounds appropriate. However, I quite like the scent, but it doesn't seem to remain after rinsing, so it's really not an issue either way. After rubbing the bar on my face, I will give my beard a good rubbing with these tree-cutting, fly-fishing, bear wrestling weapons that I call hands. After rinsing, my beard feels cleaner than ever. Make sure not to stop there though. Get yourself a good conditioner and/or beard oil/wax to make sure you're achieving your maximum manly potential. Think it's manly to have an all-natural, unkempt, untreated brillo pad filled with tasty morsols of food on your face? You're wrong. It's 2014. You're not a bum. You're a man. I bought this one month ago, and there's still enough to last me easily another month, maybe two. Granted, I only use it a few times a week, so if you plan on using it daily it may not last as long for you. However, I've noticed that where I leave it seems to degrade it more than my actual use. It resides on a shower caddy under my showerhead, and while the water doesn't drip onto it directly, I'm sure it catches some splashes at least. The bottom of the shampoo bar takes the shape of the grate it rests on, so I know I'm losing a little bit of longevity out of it from my placement. I recommend not doing that :) First beard-specific shampoo I've tried. I'm so happy with it though, that it may be the last. Disclaimer: Using it once will not make you look like that dapper gentleman seen pictured on the box with a raging heart of untamed fire and computer-defeating chess-champion intellect. But your partner may think so, and that's mildly important.

The Everlasting (Australian) Gobstopper
QUESTION: What do a dog's chew toy, a rusty hinge, a Fuzzworthy beard, and a mouse all have in common ? (Skip down for answer) This company give you a monster size cube of beard soap if you take into account how long it lasts...I started using the cube on August 2nd, (after taking a picture)...It is now December 8th, (over 4 months later !!!) and I still have about a month left to squeeze out of that little cube that I just took a picture of... I use it daily for the most part, but I may skip a day here and there...The scent is unbelievable, but damned if I can describe it...It doesn't smell like a balm or beard oil though, since it's not meant to last all day... I have a full beard, and it's on the longer side, but not long...I take this cube and dig into my face with it...It has a bit of a gritty feel, so I imagine it's roughing up any beardruff...After I lather it up with my fingertips, I just bask in the strange but good sensation it gives my face while it's working... Ingredients: Mount Wellington spring water, olive, coconut castor oils, soy wax, Leatherwood beeswax, Tasmanian Seaweed extract, Leatherwood honey, cocoa powder, essential oils... Not being a native to Australia, I have no idea what Mount Wellington spring water is, but I imagine it's a positive, not a negative...Same with Tasmanian Seaweed, but I'm sure that means something in Australia also... Whatever it's made out of it seriously cleans my beard like nothing else I've tried...Touching your wet beard, it's obvious the built up grease is gone...The most profound way to tell that it's clean lies in the answer right here... ANSWER: They squeak !!! I kid you not when I say my beard squeaks after cleaning with this soap...One day when I first had it and was marveling at how clean it was, I dragged my hand down the side of my face and there was an audible squeak...Now I use the squeak to make sure I've cleaned my beard thoroughly... And one last thing, it leaves your beard extremely soft...Just how you'd want it to be when applying an oil or balm... This soap is extraordinary, and well worth the price... I HIGHLY reccomend this product... Good luck !!!

This is an explosion of woodland scent and leaves my beard nice and soft.
I love Pura D'or's citusy beard balm and Scotch Porter's sandalwood and musk beard balm, but so far beard shampoos have been boring. This is the first beard shampoo that made me stand up straight and go daaaang. It's so nice that I now use this for my scalp hair and everything else in the shower (shhhh, don't tell the fuzz). Just rub this into your beard (or any other hair) and it's an explosion of citrus, beeswax, and spruce sap. There's a lot more going on, but these are the top notes for me. My biggest complaint is that the scent doesn't really linger. What remains is definitely nice, but the 'wooooow' smell is only while lathering. Well, that's what the beard balm is for. And I really do like how soft and smooth it leaves my beard feeling, this is definitely a first. Edit: I should love the ginger and beer version (I am a brewer) and I do love the scent, but the only thing I get from it after shampooing is stale movie theater popcorn. Not recommended at all, stick to the other varieties.

Beard's Best Friend
My beard is long and bushy, so I've tried lots of beard washes. This one is by far the best around. It makes it easy to run my fingers through my beard in the shower to get it clean and massage the skin underneath. I don't really use beard conditioner anymore because I can't see a benefit after having used this. I have very sensitive skin, but Professor Fyzzworthy's Beard Shampoo (Original Scent only) keeps me itch-free and smelling great! Pro tip: After the shower, I use Reuzel Wood and Spice Beard Foam and hit it with a low-heat blow dryer with a comb attachment. It makes my beard clean and tame. I haven't found any other combo that keeps my beard so clean and tame.

Almost the the size of an ice cube. Tiny!
Ok, so I’m going to update my review after using the product for a couple of weeks. The soap is great, it lathers really well, better than any other beard soap I’ve used so it makes the soap last a bit longer. The soap smells great and your face doesn’t feel dry after using it. I will take one star because of the price for the size otherwise I’d give it 5 stars. ——————————————————————— Not worth the money! I thought someone was playing a prank on me and I was looking for the hidden cameras. The bar of soap arrived today and this thing is tiny! I can’t believe I paid $15 for a bar of soap the size of an ice cube. For $15, I was expecting a huge bar of soap, this thing will probably last me only a few days before it vanishes into thin air. For the size, a fair price should be about $4-$5.

Good things come in small packages, this soap is freaking awesome !!!
Ok, so I picked up a block of this soap on a whim and WOW am I glad that I did, this stuff is the most awesome stuff ever. When I first opened the package I was a bit disappointed by the size of the block, it's small only about 2 inches cubed. However once I actually used this product I was amazed at just how much lather only the smallest amount of soap would produce. My local area has very hard water so getting up some good lather with soap is usually difficult... but not with this stuff, it produced copious amounts of luxurious lather. My point here is don't let the size of the bar fool you, a little bit goes a long, long way. In my opinion this soap smells fantastic, I absolutely love the smell and I get a lot of compliments from women about it too, which is a real plus :-) The best part of all is that this soap does a great job of cleaning my beard without any skin irritation and unlike regular bath soap it does not cause my face to break out with acne or itch in anyway. Once you rinse it out you face will feel clean and residue free and a nice subtle manly, earthy fragrance will remain. So yeah, I'm really very impressed with this product and I think it's absolutely great. I'm super happy with my purchase and I will certainly buy it again as well as recommend it to others... because it's that awesome !!!!

BEST SHAMPOO ON THE OVER-SATURATED BEARD CARE MARKET
I have been using professor fuzzworthy beard shampoo for over 4 years now and stand by this product wholeheartedly. My beard stays Pretty long, I usually go 6-9 months at a time without trimming. Whether you’re beard is long or short, this shampoo bar produces a lot of suds. So you don’t need many swipes. It has a very natural fresh scent. Almost a woodsy smell without being overly woodsy. It leaves my beard nice and soft without any additional moisturizer or chemicals, which is what I like most. And gives my skin underneath my beard a fresh feeling as well. It is pricey compared to other products on the over-saturated beard care market, but please remember what you are paying for. Do your research and understand what you are putting on your face/hair. Well worth the money! The only downsides I would say are storage of the bar after use. I used a bamboo soap dish for a long time and it did well but the most convenient storage option is the magnetic soap holder professor fuzzwothy just came out with. Definitely pick one of those up when you buy this soap. This helps your bar last longer than any soap dish will. Traveling with the bar is not the easiest or most convenient. I usually don’t travel with it as a result and will use whatever shampoo hotels provide. The absolute worst part about this soap is if you are using it in a public shower (ie; at the gym or at camp) and you drop the soap lol. It’s unsettling to think about using the bar again after it touching the floor. Otherwise hands down best shampoo on the market. I recommend this to all my friends who decide to start growing a beard.

Does an excellent job and is well worth the cost
Even though my beard is about 24 inches long, this block lasts a long time (you definitely get your money's worth) and does a great job at thoroughly cleaning all of it...and it leaves a nice, light, wood smell afterwards. I absolutely recommend this shampoo for all size beards!
