Lenox 893826 Mahogany Flatware Chest, 8.8

I love this chest. Holds so much! Great quality. Slots are spaced well and lined nicely. Over 24 place settings with multiple specialty and serving pieces all fit nicely.

The box is well constructed and sturdy. It is solid wood with a hinged lid and carrying handles attached to the sides. The interior is nicely lined with a heavy material with multiple sections to put your silverware. It is quite large, so be sure you have a space to store it. Overall very nice storage box that I expect will last for many years.

Love my Lenox box! As a wedding gift I got the utensils but needed a place to store them. This is perfect and fits them all. I continue to love all of my Lenox products. Highly recommend.

The chest seems to be more capacious and solidly built than others on the market. However, the quality is not great. This is actually the second identical chest I purchased - for the reasons described in the first sentence of this review. The wood appears to be a relatively thin veneer and is a slightly odd color - more of an orangey brown rather than rosewood. The first chest had 2 surface blemishes; the second has a drawer that is slightly askew. Nonetheless, the integrity of the chest appears to be greater and the item more durable than alternative choices.

I purchased this silver box to replace my mother-in-laws that was likely from the 40's. The wood is beautiful and the silverware stores nicely in it. Excellent product!

Plenty of storage space.

This purchase replaced a 50+ year old flatware chest. The quality is good and it holds all our twelve 5 piece flatware place settings and larger serving pieces. Our only small disappointment is that the drawer is a bit smaller in height than our original chest and some of our serving ladles are tight fitting. Here's hoping this chest will last as long as our old one.
