A whole house filter
I have want a filter on the in coming water supply to my house for some time. With some recent repairs getting done it was the perfect time. I checked with Lowe's and Home Depot and while Lowe's had what I wanted, Home Depot did not. So I checked Amazon and found this one. It was what I wanted and at a lower price. With costs every where going up stupid fast saving every dime has become important. Pros: 1. Large capacity. It filters our entire daily water usage with no issues. 2. Standard size filter elements, makes replacement inexpensive. 3. Easy install. Take the bracket off the housing (8 screws make it easy) when drilling the holes to mount it. Then re-attach the bracket to the housing and hang it. Super easy. 4. All materials needed to install the filter, except plumbing fittings are included. 5. Easy to understand instructions. There isn't much to installing one of these, yet a lot of Chinese made products have crappy instructions. Cons: 1. Opaque housing means you can visually assess the state of the filters without opening the housing. 2. Filters need to be replaced regularly. This is the down side of all filters. Mine has been in for less than 30 days so no idea of the actual service life. Word of caution. Some articles say you should replace the filter every 3 months. You will need to determine this on your own. A family of 5 uses more water than a family of 1 or 2. So you need to monitor your water quality and determine your own replacement interval. After installation, mine had a leak. Turns out, one of the inlet fittings was cracked. A replacement came from Amazon with their usual mediocre delivery schedule. The replacement works perfect, no leaks. Overall I am pleased with this filter.

Excellent Customer Service and Leak Issue Resolved
After reaching out to Waterdrop Filter customer service, I am pleased to update my review to a 5-star rating. After explaining the steps I had taken using a SharkBite 1" MNPT fitting, the after-sales team quickly understood the issue and agreed to send me a new filter. This allowed me to use a 3" brass nipple to extend the fitting away from the filter housing. I installed the new unit using the extension and am happy to report that it worked perfectly — no leaks at all. I want to express my sincere thanks to all the customer service representatives at WaterdropFilter.com for their professionalism, responsiveness, and support in resolving the problem. It’s great to see a company that truly stands behind its product and values its customers. I purchased the Waterdrop Whole House Water Filter System mainly for its advertised DIY installation ease. Unfortunately, I’ve experienced multiple leaks during setup. I used standard 1" MNPT push-to-connect fittings, but the problem is that the fittings bottom out at the outer flange of the filter housing instead of within the threaded inlet/outlet. From my professional experience, you should still see some of the white tape exposed when a fitting seats properly — this isn’t the case here. Because of that, achieving a reliable seal has been very difficult, even after trying multiple sealing methods. My water pressure is steady at 60–65 PSI, which is ideal. The filter’s design is appealing, but if the internal depth of the female threads were just a bit shorter, this would easily be a 5-star product. I’ve reached out to the seller for advice and hope Waterdrop will replace my unit so I can retry installation using a workaround I believe will help. If not, I’ll unfortunately need to return it and look for a different system.

Whole home filter
Had unit professionally installed by local plumber. Noticed a drip every 5 minutes coming from pressure release button for 24 hours. Checked manual it stated to tighten button and I hit the pressure release button on accident. I couldn't turn button but I did notice no drip. It's now been 48 hours and no drip so I'm very happy with purchase. The unit is well built and easy to use. It was a great value for the unit and filters. The filtering water is much better now. Thank you for a quality item that works great !

Great Base Walter Filtration Unit - City Water
Purchased this unit for my water service which has a very high Chlorine level and smell. I process my water in the home for drinking through an single under counter cold water filter/faucet currently and then processed that through a filtration pitcher. In an effort to start the process sooner and hopefully remove having to use the pitcher portion. I installed this 2 stage housing unit with the base filters to start with. I am happy with the product from the installation level and it went in pretty easy. I installed it after the pressure valve and meter as you can see in the picture, and I need to add a tie-in with a check valve to the outside hose bib, for filter change startup running of the water, but for now I just run the cold water through the sink in the kitchen. It has drastically reduced the chlorine smell in the hot water of the shower and it functions as the starting point. The standard filters that came with it however did not reduce the chlorine level as much as I would have liked to see. I will be changing out the 2nd stage filter for a better grade unit to see if that gets the result I am looking for, which is to get to a point of not having to use the pitcher and just passing the drinking water through the under counter filter, after if has passed through the whole house filter. I did not give it 5 stars because even though the unit was extremely simple to install, I feel the mounting bracket could be a bit stronger and more stable. The current bracket flexes with very little pressure on the filters. I don't see any issue for a problem down the line in the future, I just would have preferred something that did not flex as much as it does. I do highly recommend the housing unit for anyone looking for a basic 2 stage unit. The only suggestion is to make sure that your filter options will meet your needs for your project.

The Waterdrop Filtration system was a breeze to install , paying close attention to getting the fittings properly wrapped with thread tape and tightly secured , will insure a leak free operation. Great unit, got rid of my dirty water stains in the upstairs toilet and also the foul smell coming from the tap water.

Filters worked great . I read other reviews were customers had leak problems and was concerned . l wanted the dual filter system and not 2 single filters. I have avoided the red pressure release buttons were there was mentioned leak problem . I find it takes longer to release the pressure in the filters using the buttons . I installed a tap after the shutoff to release the pressure. I have found that when trying to remove the filter housing with the plastic filter wrench supplied the wrench is not a good contact fit with the housing. The wrench has a tendency to slip off and you need to struggle when trying to spin off housing. Not a very good quality wrench and key ways . I have now gone to a chain wrench that makes a good contact grip

This is a very easy filtering system to install, however, similar to previous reviews, the inlet and exit connections DO need at least 15 wraps of Teflon tape to ensure the connection does not leak. I originally wrapped 10 times and had small leaks( drips), and added an additional 5 wraps and eliminated any leaks.
