Yes This is good for any blooming flower

Q: Does it work well growing in soil

Worked well in soil for me. Wondering if it works well hydroponically.

Q: Can you just use the bloom for the flowering stage

I would suggest that you can. The directions on the other two, "grow" and "micro" state "Use during all weeks of the "grow phase" and don't mention "bloom phase".
