Like all Lodge, it's a basic, easy to use and clean up tool. This is perfect for making consistent burgers. It says it's for outdoors but I use it in my skillet on the stove all the time. It's simple, well made, and does what it's made to do. Kind of like all Lodge cast iron products.

It's good quality and feels heavy enough. However, I was not aware the press had a lip to it and was not flat I brought this for making smash patties and had to return it because it was not flat Watch out if buying for smash burgers

Good, heavy-duty burger press, but it has a significant lip around the bottom edge that isn’t pictured in the product photos. This defeats my purpose, as I’m using this for smash burgers that get smashed flat

I got this because I discovered that bigger is not always better. The big, square Blackstone press is honestly just too awkward to use for smash burgers, so I grabbed this one. It's super easy to use and to clean - all one piece, so grease doesn't hide where a handle is joined. One thing I did not realize until I got it is that the flat part is actually recessed slightly. I wasn't sure how I felt about this at first, but I like it now that I've discovered that it keeps the meat at just enough thickness for a more tender inside while the outside crisps. Also, that little lip helps to contain the grease splatters when you press enough to make it contact the griddle surface. This is my new go-to griddle tool for anything smashable.

Bough this for making smash burgers at camp . Had a hard time finding one until I looked on Amazon and found exactly what I wanted and a fair price . Works great indoors and outdoors.

Lodge es garantia en metal forjado de gran calidad y esta no es la excepción. Buen tamaño y peso para hacer unas verdaderas "smashed" burgers de primer nivel. Muy recomendable.

Profissionalmente ou por hobby, utensílio essencial e de ótima qualidade pra fazer hamburguer artesanal. Mas ATENÇÃO: ele tem uma borda que deixa a superfície de contato com o hamburguer a 1 cm da chapa... então, SÓ SERVE PARA PRENSAR HAMBURGUERES COM PELO MENOS 1,5 CM DE ALTURA (menos que isso, sequer encostará na carne). Como é de ferro fundido, importante lavar a cada uso, secar rapidamente ao fogo, e após, untar levemente com um pouco de óleo de cozinha ou azeite antes de guardar (senão enferruja). Recomendo, com certeza!
