Does this read a 9 digit chip?

Specifications say 10-15 digit. It should at least indicate there is a chip but just not the number if it is one it can't read. Since it's not a universal I was told it didn't read old AVID chip but I was pleasantly surprised when it did provide the entire number on my 3 pets 9-15 years old with AVID chips!

Are these compatible with apple mac?

You don't need a computer to use this product. Just keep it plugged in to an outlet and scan when you need to scan for a chip. It reads the chip quickly. Jot the number down and start searching for the provider of that chip. Home Again, AKC, etc. If you need help, any vet could help you without charge.

Does this work with Pro ID mini microchip?

Yes, it does. The Halo scanner is actually distributed by the manufacturer of the Pro ID Mini - Buddy ID Microchip.

My cat has two microchips. A 10-digit and a 15-digit. I want the scanner to only read the 10-digit microchip. Can this product do that?

The scanner will display the microchip that it first detects. Which could be either chip. There is no way to program the scanner to only read one of the mircochips.
