Very easy to install and set up on the smart phone.

I love these little cameras! Two for $65 seems like a very awesome deal to me. I've only had them a few days, so I can not speak to long term durability... but the *seem* very well made. We'll see how the motors hold up since they do a lot of spinning around and up and down (motion tracking). Pros: - They look cool/cute. - The video quality is very good. - The initial set up was super easy and *very* intuitive. No manual needed (as long as you know to download the app and know the model name of your cameras) - They are quiet. - They take MicroSD cards up to 128GB. - The app is very easy to use and you can utilize the camera's quite effectively right off the bat with very little understanding of all the settings. - There is two way sound (you can hear what's happening in your house and you can speak into your house while away! This comes in handy when you want to get your wife's attention because her phone is not near her body, for instance) - It's super fun and easy to watch your pets (or kids - mine are all grown up and gone) while you are away! - It automatically records any time it senses movement - and stores the video on the SD card or the cloud if you choose the subscription to it. Cons: - The cameras need to be plugged in, so that limits where you can put them. - I can not find any place with *detailed* information on what each setting does. As I said - out of the box and just using intuition, it's easy to get up and running and easy to use. But many of the (more advanced) settings have a lot of nuance that I am having to figure out by trial and error. That's it for the cons. I *really* like these cameras and I really think this company is modeling itself after Apple. The packaging of the product was vey high quality from the box to the materials used inside the box. The design of the cameras is very smart and aesthetically pleasing - and they are functionally fantastic. But happily, they do not charge Apple Prices!

I changed my review from 5 stars down to 1 star. Simply for the fact the app has gone to CRAP. While the cameras themselves are great, the app and company are not. I've used this camera system since 2018 and it has been wonderful and reliable up until this year when the company decided to get greedy and put a paywall around EVERYTHING. At first you had to watch several ads just to be able to view a motion clip, or get the ad free subscription. I used to be able to get notifications and watch clips for the last 24 hours, which was insanely helpful for me when I left the house because I have a dog with epilepsy and it gave me peace of mind knowing I could check on him when I was gone, and record any seizures if he had them. Now you can't even view motion clips without a stupid subscription. You can only do live look ins. FOR NOW, you can get around that by using an SD card on continuous recording and view the clips that way, but I give them a few weeks before they paywall that too. The ads are RIDICULOUS. I used to refer everyone to this camera system. But now I tell every one to stay away. It's useless without an expensive subscription. I have a workaround for now, but I will be finding a new camera system in the meantime.

I can’t put zero stars but that’s what it deserves. any cameras from YI needs the app which is useless. They have added ads to the app which makes it almost impossible to use. They placed intrusive ads everywhere. You can’t click on anything in the app without getting a popup ad that takes more than 30 seconds before you can close it. Sometimes, even when the app is open just showing a live feed of a camera, a pop up ad will show up and you’ll have to wait 30 seconds to be able to close it. The app wasn’t that bad when we bought the cameras but now we are seriously thinking of throwing them to the trash and buying from another vendor.
