read all reviews before purchasing that's all i can say.
Bought these as i wanted a better feel to my airpod max item arrived box was not sealed with any tape or whatever they use to keep it closed didn't notice what the magnets looked like until i put them on and they didn't sound right inspected them and noticed what you see in the pictures, very disappointed as the faux leather is very comfortable. this is very unexpected very poor magnet not sure what happened to them but like i said box not sealed no plastic bag to protect them. this is very unexpectable maybe they will make it right but i drought they will.

UPDATED BACK TO 1 STAR FOR LAMBSKIN, ORIGINAL: Sounds HORRIBLE but they fit and aren’t uncomfortable
THIRD UPDATE: I contacted the seller and explained my cleaning method. They responded saying that’s how they recommend cleaning then and then told me to have a nice day. No offer to fix them or replace them. This means they know they’re going to fall apart but don’t care. Here’s their response“ The black substance you mentioned that fell off should be dye, as pure sheepskin is not originally black in color. In the second picture, the glue on the product has already come off. However, please be cautious with the cleaning method next time. Simply use a wet tissue to gently wipe the surface, and then use a dry tissue to absorb any moisture. Additionally, avoid exposing the sheepskin ear cups to direct sunlight. Thank you!”SECOND UPDATE: these ear cups are garbage. Went to wash them for the first time (cold water and soap since adhesives usually don’t like hot/warm water and the manufacture doesn’t have cleaning instructions 🙄) and they completely fell apart. I’m going to reach out to them about it but I would be shocked if they aren’t going to claim some reason for not exchanging. DO NOT BUY THESE.UPDATED REVIEW:Earrock sent me a message after I posted my review and offered a full refund, no strings attached. I accepted the refund and they sent confirmation over. Then they asked if I would like to try a different style sent to me at their expense. I accepted that as well and they arrived a couple days later.I have to say, these are actually pretty decent replacement cups. I opted for the black lambskin and they have a stiffer and more dense foam that helps keep noise out (and in) while still being comfortable. They have a kind of leathery feel while you wear them, so if that’s not your thing these aren’t for you. But if you need to replace your cups and don’t want to pay Apple’s ridiculous prices, these aren’t a bad option. Thank you to Earrock for reaching out and fixing this without me having to contact anyone or jump through hoops. If you’re on the fence about buying, just do it and their customer service will sort it out for you if you’re not satisfied. It’s actually pretty refreshing.Original Review:Just like all the other reviewers, the cups I ordered (black mesh) sound absolutely horrible. It’s like a high pitched crinkle noise with every movement while I’m wearing them. There’s also really bad sound leaking in, even in noise cancelation mode. They feel substantially lighter than the OEM cups and I suspect that’s why there’s so much noise coming through. At least they’re soft though 🤷🏻♂️I wouldn’t buy them again nor recommend that other people buy them. I’m going to return them and just get the Apple replacements for double the price. Ugh.

The Holy Lamb
The holy lamb,I also sleep with my AirPods Max sometime and having a cushion that can protect the headphones and provides some soft resilient cushioning. The noise canceling it amazing now with them literally I can hear nothing! The microphones work really well and people can hear me very well as if I am talking into my phone. Transparency and normal modes work well too.I’ve also not had any weird ear sweat issue

Felt good but wouldn't work for calls
I really wanted to like and keep these, but ultimately I had to return them. They felt a bit stiff coming out of the package, but another review said they break in well after a week or so. I could see how they would be really nice after the break in period. However, I use my APM for work calls and any time I tried to join a work call, I couldn't hear anything and no one could hear me. The moment I switched back to the OEM cushions, everything was fine. 70% of my use case is work, so I there was no point in me keeping these. I'm hoping the company is able to create an updated version that resolves whatever caused the issue I experienced. I'd try them again, but just not right now.

inferior material quality MAY impede use.
The media could not be loaded. to state the obvious: NOT THE SAME QUALITY AS APPLE. particularly noticeable in the foam, which is a bit stiffer, makes noise on compression and during friction of regular headphone movement. Mesh material is not as taught, potential to cause minor obstructions to sound.

Lambskin: no more condensation, irritation, etc.
You should be ordering only 1 of 2 models: the original style as a replacement for your dirty, nasty original ear pads, or the lambskin.Don’t bother with “protein leather.” If your emotions won’t let you buy the lambskin, just use the original vegan fabric and help contribute to microplastic pollution. Most of all, the texture isn’t right and affects the fit. After a day or 2, the oils from your skin and hair will help condition and soften the already soft and supple lambskin. Your body warmth will help the urethane foam cushions to release and provide a better seal. If paying attention, after 24 hours you’ll notice a much improved fit over day 1 that is semi-permanent.If the air release vents seem to cause feedback in the mics, reset the AirPods by holding down both buttons until it disconnects and waiting until they reconnect. The latest update seemed to fix this issue. If the original ear pads caused excessive condensation and sweating, believe it or not these lambskin ear pads actually breathe BETTER than the fabric ones. Condensation, a huge issue with my original pads, is no longer a problem. The moist fabric would irritate my skin during long listening sessions and the smell they would eventually emanate was eye-melting.These ear pads completely fix it, turning a buyers remorse into a delighted buyer. It makes my AirPods Max almost as comfortable as the Sony MDR-7506.
