Very much recommend these boxes
The box in the Amazon picture is not the same one I purchased but is the one in the customer's photo. I guess since they are handmade they run out of one particular style on occasion? I gave it away as a gift or I would take a picture.I bought it for an 8 year old because I had a little locking keepsake box at her age I still have to this day. It kept out nosy brothers and parents because sometimes you just want a little privacy. It was a big hit with kids and parents, alike. She'll (probably) grow out of Legos and Barbies but having her very own private box is for a lifetime.The box itself is very pretty and seems well-made. My one concern is that the key for the lock seems very fragile and I am afraid it might break with repeated use. The wood pieces and brass inlay appear to be put together with skill and the velvet interior was smoothly installed. Sometimes you buy things that were more mass-produced and they have some pretty obvious mistakes but I didn't see anything wrong in my, admittedly short, time examining it.The packaging was top notch and was shipped exactly when I needed to receive it because I procrastinate and needed it fast. Overall I and my niece are very satisfied and I would definitely purchase from this company again based on my experience.

Very Beautiful
This is great price for this box. I gave this as a gift to someone and she absolutely loved it! The box is very well made, the inlay is beautiful and the construction of the box itself, is well worth the money spent. The lock is a little difficult to open, but it fits the size of the box perfectly. I would purchase this item again.

Not so scalloped edge
Photo is much nicer than what I received. The scalloped edge on the one I was sent was not very scalloped. It had great potential but I returned it.

Did not receive lock version of box
Nice box but I really wanted the lock. Was meant as gift for a 9 year old. Did not come with a locking hinge as shown.
