Donner Mini Guitar Amp Small Electric Amplifier 5W Portable, Practice Guitar Combo Amp DA-10

I bought this because my son was interested in the bass guitar I had lying around, and I'd lent the amp (permanently, apparently) to a friend. I came across this and thought it may work well for what we wanted. I'm happy to say it's perfect for what I intended. It's loud enough that my son can easily hear what he's doing without it being so overpowering as a full sized floor amp would be. Don't expect to be vibrating any walls with this thing, but it will let you practice and easily hear what you're doing if you aren't trying to play over anyone else's equipment. It's also extremely small and portable and rechargeable - we've played with it for a good hour now and have yet to plug it in to charge up again. If you're looking for an amp just to noodle around with a guitar or bass and aren't going to be competing with other sound sources, this one fits the bill and sounds good doing it. If you want something that will crank out enough sound to blend in with other instruments and/or vocals this won't do the trick, but it's not intended to.

What do I say about the Donner M-3 3-watt Portable Guitar Amp? How about "it packs a lot into a little". The speaker runs off of either a 9V DC in power cord or six AA batteries. So, while it is not rechargeable, it is most defintely portable. The speaker has both clean and an overdrive channels. You choose between the channels via a push-button on the top of the amp. The rest of the controls on the amp are "Drive", to control gain when using the overdrive channel, "Level" for overall volume, a three band equalizer with controls for "Treble", "Middle", and "Bass", and the "On/Off" power button. The top also has ports for your guitar in, an MP3/music player in, and headphone/earbuds out. I felt that the sound out of the one 3" speaker was solid and not muddy. I did have to level the volume up at about 7 or 8 to get it where the amp was louder than just my playing if I kept the EQ settinsg all at 5. But adjusting the equalizer to higher levels also raised the overall sound output. The overdrive channel I felt started to break up too much for my liking when I played it over level 6 or higher. I play it around 4 and that suits me just fine. The only drawback I have with this amp is that it is not rechargeable (Donner has another model for that). I have played it at a pretty loud volume for about four hours now and I am still on the first set of batteries, so I think they are lasting pretty good. Maybe I'll post a follow-up when these first batteries finally die. And when that happens I will replace them with rechargeable batteries, so that I am not always having to buy new ones. Well, there you have it. This amp works well and provides a lot of sound in a small, portable, package. I hope you found this review helpful.

Good little amp for traveling and jamming with for the value. Gets decently loud and takes pedals pretty easily. Battery life is not the best. Only like 1.5 - 2 hours on a full charge. Would not use this for any stage applications or pro applications. Great little amp for practicing or for a new/learner guitarist looking for an amp that won't cost a bunch.

I'm super pleased. Not too much, not too little. Perfect for stashing under my coffee table out of sight and shredding during commercial breaks. I like the 9v plug in feature bc who wants to keep messing with batteries or recharging via USB just to use it? Highly recommend.

I wasn't expecting too much for this little banger honestly, so when i did plug my guitar in to this tiny amp i truly was shocked by the tone and also the volume. I have bought a bunch of small mini amps and i figured i would give it a try since Amazon would let me return it if it wasn't up to par. Well it not only is up to par, it leaves par way down below somewhere! I really haven't had time to check out any of this little Champ's features but even if none worked i would still be ok due to the sound alone. It is just what it says it is . It is a handy little amp you can take anywhere and it will sound great and it's so small it would fit into your car's glovebox if needed. I recommend to anyone wanting portability without sacrificing good tone and volume, like say the beach, vacation etc. It works on battery and easy charging is good also. This is a cute little guitar amplifier and it’s a Mini Amplifier. Not small but Mini It is 8 inches long It is 5.5 inches high It is 3.25 inches wide and weighs just over 2.25 pounds. As you can see by the Specs it is not big and can be held in the palm of one’s hand It is rated as a 5 Watt Output Amplifier. Now it can be run by 4 AA batteries which are included with the amp. One can also plug it straight into the AC house receptacle. It only uses 0.3 Watts of electricity and that is pretty easy on your Hydro Bill. It really serves three functions. 1. Can be used as a guitar amp with Clean or distortion sound with EQ controls of Bass, Treble, Middle and of course Volume. 2. Can be used as an external speaker for your MP3 Player, phone or tablet. Now the volume or EQ controls do not control the sound coming out of your tablet or MP3 Player. It is your player that will control the volume and I found that my tablet had more volume than what I would ever need. One can also hook up a headset and listen in privacy. 3. Could also just be used for a cool nice looking ornament on your mantle, book case or where ever. It is manufactured in China and my observations shows that it is well made as all of the controls and cabinet are tight as no rattles or vibration. It is equipped with a 3 inch speaker. This amp is not made to gig with or play in front of 20,000 people but very useful as a small practice amp or for running over to your friends place to show off your latest guitar lick without having to drag the big 50 pound amp with you. It does not connect via Blue Tooth to a tablet or other player. Only connects by cable. I can play my guitar with a guitar cable or wireless as both work well. For a mini amp I knew I would not be competing in any way with the big lads or even those amps selling for over 200.00. Now for the price I find this is a real good deal and I am completely happy with it.

Perfect as a small clean amp to put your pedals through. Bedroom sound so you don't drive everyone nuts. If you are looking for ear blowing power, this is not for you. I currently run 2 of these with my Line 6 Helix in stereo. Love it!
