Dead on Arrival
Did NOT work out of the box. Motor didn't turn, just made a humming noise.Worse was trying to get a replacement. Amazon refused to just send me a replacement in exchange for the dead one. I wasted hours in their circle of incompetence they call "customer service." For some arbitrary reason the only thing I could do was return this for a refund and then place a new order for another one. Being a business account that requires submitting for approval, and waiting for the bureaucracy to decide to place the order when they feel like it, I needed it faster than that. I found it on Vevor's website for ~$10 cheaper, and I could avoid the red tape that comes with buying on Amazon, so I ordered another one there. When its estimated delivery day came and went and I'd never received a shipped notice or tracking, I emailed their customer service. They said there was an "inventory issue." When prompted for an actual shipping estimate they canceled and refunded my order. The specs look good, I wish I could have actually got one that worked when I needed. Wasn't meant to be I guess. Amazon's customer service used to actually, ya know, service customers, now it's just stone wall, and hope the customer gets frustrated to go away.I tried pretty hard to actually get one of these, but wound up buying the 9.6 CFM Vivohome version instead.

Harvest Right Replacement 12 CFM
I bought this to replace my Harvest Right pump, it is quieter than the original and only requires 1 replacement connection. I purchased a 3/4" Male 37 deg Flare JIC (1-1/16" x 1/2") Male NPT Plated steel hydraulic fitting and it is working great! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRB6H1BJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1So far the pump is working great, it got unhappy after 46 hrs strait but I don't blame it.

Need adapters
This pump looks good, but unable to hook up to harvest right freeze dryer. A metric 22x1,5 female reduced to a male 1/2 inch NPT is required to make the hose connection. This can be ordered from a supplier that handles air and hydraulic fittings and hoses. My fitting should arrive today. Will add to this review after it is installed and checked out the pumps operational capabilities on the freeze dryer.

Great customer service
Used pump for 3 months and it worked great. Had an issue with while pulling a vacuum where internal wires melted and pump quit working. I reached out to VEVOR and sent pictures to which they replied within a couple of days and actually sent me another vacuum pump at no charge. I haven’t seen customer service like this in a long time. Refreshing to know some companies still take pride in themselves. Way to go VEVOR

Not what's advertised
I haven't put the pump in use yet. I knew/saw that it was a 3/8" flair and 1/4' flair on the pump. (in the ad) But I knew foreign firms often mislabel their ads. So I took the time to ask if indeed it was 3/8 & 1/4. I just received the pump and it's 1/4 acme and 1/4" flair. AT THE VERY LEAST, I'm going to need to figure what fittings I need to buy to achieve 3/8, 1/4 flairs ------the reason I bought this! Quite disappointed. Not what I bought.9/9/19: this will be a progressive review. I'm an HVAC guy, and I haven't been using it quite yet because I ordered some brass fittings to get the configuration that was advertised---and I didn't get. (3/8 & 1/4) (I use the 3/8 yellow jacket brass tree) At any rate, I out oil in it today and started it up and it smokes---others have reported that too. I will leave another edit, once I put it to use. But it smokes, for sure.9/21/19It’s smoking still, but less. I ordered a series of brass fittings to refit the ports; I now have a 3/8 flair and 1/4 flair. I came up with a unique 4 hose set up with heavy duty yellow jacket Evac hoses and pulled a unit yesterday down to 67 microns. I think the pump is not a Navac, but with decent hoses and following best practices, I think this pump will be fine. (I hope) I’m using a brass Yellow Jacket tree and 2 3/8 hoses and 2 1/4 hoses. On a tight system this pump pulls down fast. I’ve added a star.As I mentioned earlier, rather than a 3/8 and 1/4 outlets as advertised, it had a 1/4 flair and a 1/4 acme. So I spent a bunch of money and rebuilt it with brass fittings. I pulled a vacuum today and when I pulled the yellow jacket tree off the pump, there was a bunch of oil. There was a baffle I would guess on the old fittings---which were the wrong size anyway. I'm CONVINCED that "made in China" will mean high quality one day. Japan made shitty radios in the 50s. Today they make Acuras. I really don't like this pump. For now, it's American made---probably NAVAC. This pump sucks.
