Does it work with Wen rotary tools such as the 2300 series?

The tool holding mechanism is very poorly made. I think the assumption they make with the new collett nut that holds the tool in place is that you have a Dremel tool . . . and a later model at that. Universal it isn't! I would look for something made expressly for the Wen

Does the tool change angle under pressure? I have the dremel press, and as you put pressure on the bit, it tends to angle some. Breaks bits.

In my opinion it does move some. However if at all possible a snap centering punch will give your bit a chance of being able to drill instead of breaking. Might want to check that your bit is tapered at the right angle, if not it will walk all over the place which will cause the bit to break, my opinion. Hope this is some help.

Milescraft 1097 vs dremel workstation?

I looked at both of these models closely the Dremel workstation weighs 4.85lbs. The Milescraft 1097 is 3.94 lbs Sometimes the weight tells it's own story. But they're close in weight. I needed something that has a small footprint and can hold my Proxxon rotary tool. I just don't drill enough to warrant a bench drill press, I ended up buying the Proxxon 28600 Micromot Drill Stand. Its twice the price but Proxxon makes rock solid products, something you want in a drill press. it weighs 5.54lbs. If you tried a Proxxon rotary tool, your Dremel would gather dust.
