A good catch all de pinning kit

I bought this set and one other for multiple terminal connection replacements they worked just fine. I rated 4 stars because the case is not durable and the metal quality is not top notch. The smaller tools punctured through the case. These units do what they are intended to do. They are thin by necessity. Work carefully with them and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. Put too much pressure on them and they will bend or dent. If the wire isn’t coming out when the tool is fully inserted then its likely that the barb on the wire connector itself is too stiff and needs to be worked carefully. I used these to remove multiple grime packed terminals on 20+ year old wires and they worked fine. On several wires I had to identify the barbs and work one tool or another in until the barb finally depressed. On others the barb released with a single tool. On inspection of the difficult wires, the barb was visibly stiffer, no spring, compared to the other wires.

Mobile heavy equipment mechanic/ technician.........nice small package for easy storage. Great price for the huge selection of de pinning tools. I run into all sorts of different electrical connectors on different equipment. Dozers, loaders, excavators, trucks, etc. Having these with the different configurations is invaluable. I needed to replace a TSE connector on a Mack MP8 truck for the EGR differential pressure sensor. Price for the tool from TSE was $78........one tool. Just to pin the connectors. I bought that and this set. They both do the same job.......take the pins out and install them. The OEM $78 is definitely built/made beefer.........but its not worth $78.........this set works on those connectors. Now......for the people saying these stink or they are hard to use. It's only easy if you know how to do it!! When your working blind, can't see how the pins are retained in the connector.......well, your going to have a tough go at it if this is your first time depinning connectors. Just because you bought this big set doesn't make you an expert. Ever try to pick a lock?? You can buy a nice little assortment of lock picks. It's not going to make you an expert at picking locks. You need to know how the lock pins and mechanism works. Just like electrical pins..........a deutsch connector is different from a Weather Pack connector. Its going to be hard working in the blind if this is your first time taking a connector apart. And I make this statement also knowing that all tools are not made with the same quality and construction. Just my thoughts after reading some these reviews before buying this set.

Again, not sure what was wrong with the first message but this all this is is a tool set for removing pins on connectors, male or female. There’s a variety of sizes. There’s some duplicate tools in there. It’s just a handy set for overall removing pens for automotive or electronic stuff.

Same tools in 2 sets totaling 81 Nos. received (1 missing and not knowing which one). The product is too costly and the metal parts are too thin for regular usage. The description in the advertisement says 82 different tools but actually only 41 x 2 similar are sent.
