My doctor wants hydrofera blue ready bacteriostatic foam dressing. where do i find it?

Is Hydrofera blue reusable?

While I am not a clinician, This product is NOT reusable. Whatever you use as directed and get wet, you are exposing it to any bacteria on the skin. You want maximum potency every time you redress the wound. All wounds while healing must be redressed daily as the sponge will absorb bacteria, and th skin is treated with the medicinal compounds in the sponge like bandage. I do not know if my neighbor would have faired so well in healing a huge gapping wound on his stomach without this product. You must look for the possibility of bacterial colonization's which present themselves in a redness that looks like an irritation. This product is not a miracle cure but used wisely and in conjunction with keen observations, it is amazing in healing.

Can I use Hydrofera Blue past the date on thepackage?

I would, and will, definitely use this past the date on the package. I didn't even know there was a date on the package! It's a hard piece of ??? in a sealed package. What could happen to make it expire? This is only my non-medical opinion, and you should make your own decision. FYI...I also take ibuprofen after the expiration date. If it's in the refrigerator, I pay attention to dates. 🤠

Has anyone used this product in conjunction with any type of cream or ointment?

I have used it with hydrogel and e45 cream
