JBC Coffee Roasters "Rock the House Blend - FTO" Medium Roasted Fair Trade Organic Whole Bean Coffee - 12 Ounce Bag

It's taking me a while to get adjusted to a medium roast coffee which is much differentthan my usual dark roast French roast beans. For me I get aromatic notes of hay or the field, cocoa, a deeper dark chocolate depending on how I brew, which is usually pour over using a Kelita Wave. In the cup there is a strong juicy presence with notes of hazelnut, chocolate and a strong fruit flavor which for me is more of a fresh cherry flavor, there is a dried cranberry taste to the finish. This is certainly not a morning cup for me, but for a nice mid afternoon or early evening cup it definitely can be an adventurous cup of coffee, particularly if you drink mostly dark roasts. I like the company and look forward to trying some of their other blends, just a note they are all light to medium roasts which is a very different flavor profile from a dark roast if that is your preference.
