Incredible product! In the middle of remodeling our kitchen, part of the mechanism that opens the dishwasher broke. Heavy duty tape lasted only a few days at a time because this part that broke off takes a LOT of stress when you open the dishwasher. We tried every glue we had in the house, nothing worked longer than 4 openings of the dishwasher. Bought some special just for plastic JB Weld-- an old friend. We couldn't believe it lasted only a day. Luckily someone mentioned Q Bond on a review for the JB Weld product. We had so little hope it would work-- we were just trying to get something to work until February, when we anticipate being ready for new appliances, the last step in the remodel. Certainly didn't believe this would be mended in 10 seconds, as mentioned on the box. We gave it an hour before tentatively trying it. OMG! It was a solid bond, only a very little give to it! There were a few cracks we could fill in more, so we did that and waited until the next morning to try it again. I swear it's better than the original before it broke! It's solid as a rock! Still not sure this is going to take us to February, it's only been 5 days. But it's strong, no signs of giving. This really is amazing stuff! Btw, we did not use the powder, only the liquid, which seems similar to super glue in consistency. In our case, the piece was vertical, and we could see the powder making a big mess with their being no way to do the repair horizontally. In our repair, pretty doesn't matter-- not that this looks bad, but it would likely be undetectable if we used the black powder in the cracks.
