The specs are a little bit better than OEM for WH-1000X4M Sony Noiseless. If you are a heavy listener and you put your battery through many charging cycles or you charge frequently with little discharge during use you may find you have a battery failure sooner rather than later. This is the battery to replace your old one. But if you are surprised that your battery is not charging and all you did was not use the headphones for a while then you need to perform a series of tests on your headphone before replacing the battery. You can find advice on YouTube "SONY WH1000XM4 Battery Troubleshooting & Repair - No Power, Won't Charge & Short Battery Life Fix". I am not associated with this fixer, but he addresses the checks that most videos do not. You may have to go so far as to unplug the battery, but that very well may be all you need. It involves a little headphone dismantling but is simple and easy to reassemble. Then if you still have to get a new battery you will be ready to just drop the new one in and seal her up.

This is the perfect replacement battery for the Sony Wh1000XM4 headphones. I really loved these headphones, used them for over 4 years without any issues, until eventually they stopped charging anymore. I was really sad, so I kept them around for many months even though they didn't work. Eventually I figured I should try and repair them, and learned that when the headphones don't hold power anymore, it's almost always the battery that is bad. I found this battery for cheap, and it's even slightly larger in capacity than the factory one. The connector was perfect and it clicked right in to place. Headphones are working again and I'm super happy with the larger battery. Highly recommend this product for your headphones.

UPDATE 9/16/2023 Battery after almost 90 days will no longer charge beyond 50% A number 1 indicator that this battery is no good. Do not recommend this battery I can't complain about the Sony original battery. It lasted two years of almost nonstop use. But all that being said it did finally started to give up. Being that a New headset would be around $200.00, I decided to replace the battery. I ordered the replacement from Amazon for $17.00. Replacement was easy and an exact fit. You just have to be careful with handling due to delicate thin wires and connections. As a matter of fact, I think it took me longer to put the ear cushion back on then it took to replace the battery. The one issue I had, and the reason for the ((4 STAR rating)), is that the replacement did not include a piece of double stick tape to affix the back of the battery to its holder. The battery came with a 70% charge so that I was able to test the headphones. All OK. The battery took a full charge in a relativity short time and 24 hours later no issues. Obviously, I am not able to address the durability and longevity, but as of this moment everything looks good and with a GREAT cost savings to boot. So I do recommend this replacement

The replacement has a higher capacity than the original and fit perfectly for my WH-1000XM3. The replacement process is fairly easy. The new battery works great.

With the use of videos out there this was a very easy install. Do not throw out your headphones! This solved the blinking / no red light and no charge situation. This battery is a perfect fit for XM4's.

After few years of use, my Sony WH-1000XM battery charge would not stay long enough. Replaced it with this one and it seems to stay charged as long as original battery. Battery is from manufacturer/supplier of batteries only. Cons: no instruction manual, watched couple of YouTube to get an idea. Package did not include tools, fortunately I had some of those handy.

This product won't work with or fit Sony XH-1000XM3 as advertised and will damage your power board. Product is also so poorly built that it would bent and deform (see one of the pics attached) as your are installing it or removing it from your headphones. Here is my tragic story: I purchased this cheap piece of garbage because I was unable to find the OEM battery for my Sony WH-1000XM3. I received the product today, installed it into my headphones, and put my headphones to charge. Immediately the red charging light started to blink indicating that there was a charging issue. I proceeded to take my headphones apart to disconnect the newly installed battery (this product), but to my surprise, battery connector was seized to the socket of the power board of my headphones. While trying to pull the battery cable off, the socket came off from the power board. In one of the pics attached you can see the battery connector attached to the now broken socket of the power board of my headphones. A $350 headphones got damaged because of a false advertisement on a product sold on Amazon.

Batterie parfaitement compatible avec le casque WH-1000XM3. Je l'ai montée dans mon casque pensant que le problème de démarrage de ce dernier (rien ne se passait quand j'appuyais sur les boutons) venait de la batterie. En fait, il s'agissait d'un problème de mauvaise isolation des câbles internes du casque (vernis isolant qui se détériore avec le temps et les vibrations, ce qui provoque - sans doute - des courts circuits qui altèrent le fonctionnement du casque) : ce problème est documenté sur Internet. Après ajout de ruban isolant à plusieurs endroits que je jugeais critiques, le casque a fonctionné de nouveau. Reste à voir ce qui se passera sur la durée.

Easy to install and still works fine

Works fine. Instructions on how to install are good, I suggest seeing the online videos. Installing it requires a steady hand, as there is not much space, so be very careful.
