Good LED lamps
I bought two of these for a fixture in my basement. One worked great but the other was dead. Looking at the end of the led strip I could see that where the two wires were attached they had been pulled off. I think the led strip shifted during shipping and separated the wires.Instead of returning the lamp I took it apart and soldered the two wires back on. Put the lamp back together and now it works fine.I can't know for sure if this problem was from the manufacturer or from shipping. Amazon did ship the two tubes in a box big enough to hold 12 or more with only a cardboard tube around each lamp. The cardboard tubes protected the lamp but also allowed them to rattle around in the box.I would not want to use this lamp in an open fixture as the small leds make a weird pattern of light. My fixture has a translucent cover that helps it not be noticeable. Some other tubes I bought do not have the clear cover like these and would work great in an open fixture.I did remove the ballast and rewire the fixture. I did not try them with the ballast in place so I have know idea how well they work in that configuration.

Not for the faint of heart. UPDATE
(UPDATE 5/14/2020. The item listed on this page is NOT what I purchased back in 2016. What I purchased was a pair of T8 LED replacement tubes for a T8 fluorescent shop lamp. What's on this page is completely different design and are not meant to replace fluorescent tubes.)Instructions are in poorly written English. Misspelled words and instructions proclaim must be installed by a professional person Nowhere in the online description is that mentioned. If you are not comfortable with modifying 110v AC electrical fixtures, do not get this product. However, they work fantastically once you have the ballast by-passed and the tube holders (double end meaning hot on one end and neutral on the opposite end) wired in.Companies like this really MUST hire a native language speaker to write or at least edit their instructions regardless of what language they are writing for.

Nice bulbs, Good deal
I was surprised at how much brighter these are compared to the standard replacement LED bulbs. Nice white color without being harsh.

low power consumption, good light output, with a clear tube…
These lamps from Kihung are designed to fit into light fixtures that use 4’ long T-8 lamps. The most common application for a product like this is for retrofitting an existing fluorescent fixture and converting it so that it can use LED lamps.Unlike a fluorescent tube, these lamps are not cylindrical in shape. A strip of LED’s are mounted inside the tube, which is clear plastic, so the LED’s are visible. The lamp consumes about 20 watts, which is fairly normal for a lamp of this size and type.Like most other LED products, the cost for this type of lamp has decreased significantly in the last few years, and the current cost is very competitive. As expected payback times have decreased, retrofitting fluorescent fixtures has become a more practical option. These lamps are produced in China. This is not unusual, as many LED products sold in America use LED’s, drivers, or other parts that are from China.I received a pair of these lamps for evaluation, and was generally pleased with the light output, and the color of the light. Since the lamp has a clear tube, it would be more suitable for use it a fixture which has a lens or diffuser. The product was securely shipped in a box, with a cardboard tube around each tube for additional protection, and plastic inserts on the pins to help prevent damage. There are some LED tubes that can replace fluorescent lamps without having to rewire the light fixture. That is not the case for these lamps, as the wiring in the light fixture will need to be modified to bypass the ballast, to use these lamps. An electrician does not necessarily have to perform this work, however some basic knowledge of electricity would definitely be helpful. If you question your ability to rewire a fixture correctly, consult a professional, or someone with the required skills, as you would definitely want to avoid a short circuit or other mishap.
