Simple rewiring needed for installation; bright light, but QC fell short on one of two tubes
Bought two of these which arrived today.Pros:(1) Installation is easy. Rewiring was simple, though you have to pull hard to remove wires from the existing tombstones, and if the tombstones are old, the plastic may crack in the process. (So consider buying new tombstones up-front and avoiding the hassle.) If you choose to keep your existing tombstones, it doesn't matter if they are shunted or not; either will work.(2) Very bright -- much brighter than the 40W fluorescent T12 that it was replacing.Cons:(1) Tubes cannot be freely rotated. With fluorescent tubes, this doesn't matter because they give off light 360 degrees. LED tubes shine brightest in one direction, though, and since our fixtures are mounted on a vertical surface and not the ceiling, it would have been nice to be able to rotate the tubes 90 degrees so the light comes straight down.Unfortunately one of the tubes arrived dented with two pins broken off, so we had to return it. (There was no damage to the packaging, so this appears to be a QC issue.) Amazon didn't offer a "replacement" option, so we had to accept a refund of the $14.69, then re-order another one for $19.99 since the price has gone up by $5.30 in the last two days. Minus 1 star for not allowing an even exchange.

Good product, continues to work well
I bought a case of these a couple years ago and all of them are going strong. I wanted to convert a garage's 8ft fluorescent shop lights to LEDs and these were at the time the cheapest way to buy several at once. Compared to traditional lighting, they use so much electricity I honestly don't bother to turn them off most of the time.So with that said, I have been running them almost 24/7 for 2+ years with no problems, in unheated conditions (say 34-70 degrees F).

They are bright
I have been doing electrical contracting since 1983 and these are most definitely the brightest 8' tube that I have seen. When they say 8000lm they are not kidding, these are brighter than any HO tubes (high output used for signs & cold temps)than I have seen. The quality seems better than the average LED tubes that I have been purchasing, like the pins on each end are to the correct size and there is no slag or overhang on the tip. All I have seen are made of plastic, some with an aluminum back side for support (most people think its there for reflection purposes). The structure holds up well.

Great T8 LED Light Tubes for Florescent Light Conversion to LED
Converted overhead florescent 2-lamp laundry room fixture in 15 minutes using the Kihung T8 LED light tube. Followed instruction included with light tubes and watched a you-tube video to ensure everything would go right. The two lamps provide great lighting, much more than the old florescent lamps, and the lamps come on almost immediately. Easy conversion and simple project eliminated light ballast and should reduce cost of operating. This is a project that can be completed by almost anybody. Tools needed: Wire cutter, wire stripper, 1/4" socket for removal of ballast. I have another florescent lamp in my attic that I will be converting next. Cost of conversion was about the same as replacing the failed ballast.Lamp tubes came well packaged in shipping tubes. Arrived timely and undamaged. Both lights worked perfectly the first time.

Good product
12 tubes arrived in good condition. Removed old ballasts and direct wired to 115vac. Installation was easy. Lights are much brighter than the 8ft fluorescent that was there before.

LED vs fluorescent bulb
LED is more brighter and uses less energy compared to fluorescent bulb. I used to pay $40 to $50 dollars a month in electric bill but last month I only paid $14 for the first time and the lowest bill we got. All our lights are now replaced with LED bulbs and I'm using Wink Hub and Hue Lights tiny control our lights, etc..
