Very powerful, works extremely well
I needed this for many uses. Has a bright light and blue light or use with no extra light. Folds up and has a nice case to keep it very protected. Also has a key to open the place for the battery to change when needed. I'm very pleased with this. It does take some getting use to and is very powerful. In my pictures above I used a ring that I was checking. Wanted to see what a jeweler said it's worth but always wonder if they ever lie and say it's fake when it's not. So I wanted to start checking on my own. Plus I collect change and look for the valuable ones so this is making that easier to do. Some are very hard to read without this.

Better Than None
I was not expecting I had to be so darn close to an object with this. I guess it will work (haven't used in the field yet). Seems well built - built to last though, but for me I don't think I will be taking it out - Ill have to get something else. I use Bi-Focals and this is just not going to work for me. For someone with better vision it should be just fine. For me, I just don't like I have to be that close to an object just to magnify it so that I can see it. If it works for ya it is a good value for the money. If you have vision issues you might want to move on to something else. The light is there and a single LED, so don't expect to light-up Broadway. It is probably good for being right on top of the rock or whatever you're looking at. Back a tad and well not so much. That is just my opinion.

Just what I needed
I needed a jeweler's loop to inspect some older jewelry that recently was passed down to me. Best to know the metal content and quality of stones, before deciding what to keep. The loop was so helpful. The addition of the light makes clear even the tiniest of markings! So happy to receive the case for safe keeping, too. See in picture. The magnification is great for the fines details—even little invisible-to-the-naked-eye surface scratches come into plain view. Great purchase and an especially great deal for the price. Highly recommend this Jeweler's Loop!

Brightest Light Ever!!
The bright light on this loupe is the brightest I ever had. To my surprise the case is added bonus for its protect.

Great little loupe
I bought this because my wife got a braclet that appeared to have a maker's mark on it but was too small to read. I had tried to use a magnifying glass, but still couldn't read it. This loupe, however, with its light an excellent magnification allowed us to determine that it was silver and plated with gold. Great buy.
