Small, but strong. Great little bit of kit. My kids hang gymnastic rings off it.

Used it out of the box and it was OK, but rattled a bit around on the beam. I added a couple of nuts to put additional tension on the inner part of the brackets, substituted a lock nut instead of the split ring washer/double nutted (or jam nutted) and pounded some shims in the space between the bracket and the beam. It is as solid as the mounts in the training gyms and is quiet. For the price, this is about the best value I could find and with a few shims and hardware, a very high performer for heavy use. Highly recommended and follow the photo if you have a similar situation for great results.

We had previously used a large D-Clamp to attach a TRX Trainer to our I-beam in our gym. We never expected a 6'5" foolish teenager to be pulling it sideways with all of his weight. The D-clamp didn't hold and took it to his forehead. This I-beam hanger will be a lot more secure, leaving us more comfortable knowing that we can't always predict that gym users will apply common sense.

I had some wood that was drying out in my basement. They had a big turn -over of wood in the store. It didn't have time to dry out. I weighed a 4 x4 x 8" long, to see what it weighed. I'm not cutting wood that still has preservative it it. It will probably split or warp if it is cut "wet".I didn't use it for a punching bag. It has other uses.
