This filter fits perfectly in my fridge. I’ve had it in place for about a year and it’s still filtering the water well. We have hard water and it does a great job producing great tasting water. Super easy to replace!

Been using these Frigidaire filters since we purchase this refrigerator 5 year ago. I know there are plenty of cheaper options and I will usually go with those, but for something that I am ingesting is a different story. One thing is that I will not replacement when the refrigerator tells me which is 6 months even when you know you have not ran enough water through it. This tells me that this thing is set up for a twice a year expense. I will reset the refrigerator warning light and religiously replace the filter once per year. I have never noticed any taste difference between the 6 month and 12 intervals. I will also purchase a replacement when the price drops and keep it until it is time to replace it. As to specifics, is super simple to replace. Just screw the old one out and screw in the new filter. Make sure you run water through the new one as required. Again, I don't know if there are impurities that the water might flush out, but this water is going inside of me and I prefer not to take any changes. You do pay a bit more. These filter might be made at the same factory where they make the cheaper ones, but for me is just a personal preference.

Le robinet extérieur de mon jardin est branché sur le même tuyau que mon robinet de cuisine. J'ai par erreur laissé le robinet extérieur ouvert pendant plus d'une semaine. Le goût de l'eau qui provenait directement du robinet de cuisine goûtait le tuyau de jardin et avait une odeur très prononcée. J'ai même fait de la soupe et malgré le fait que l'eau ait bouilli pendant plus de 30 minutes et qu'il y avait beaucoup d'épices, je pouvais encore goûter le goût de l'eau d'ose resté au soleil. L'eau de mon frigo et la glace n'avait aucune odeur ni arrière-goût avec ce filtre. J'ai trouvé ensuite qu'il y avait un mix entre le robinet extérieur et le robinet de cuisine. J'ai fermé le robinet extérieur puis le goût affreux de mon eau de cuisine était revenu à la normale. L'eau de mon frigo et la glace n'avait aucune odeur ni arrière-goût avec ce filtre. Vraiment impressionné par l'efficacité du filtre. Si faire bouillir de l'eau ne changeait presque rien au goût affreux, le filtre lui changeait tout! Depuis, j'en suis à mon 3e tellement j'adore son efficacité
