We purchased these lamps for a cheap, over a workbench lighting and they are working beautifully! My husband installed a shelf above my workbench and these lamps clamp perfectly to that shelf so I have one on the left and one on the right focused on my main work area. Very pleased! A side note, after little while the base of the lamp where the switch is does tend to get a bit warm, and the switch itself is even a bit warm, but nothing too bad; even after a couple hours or so of work when I go to turn them off, the plastic around the switch and the switch itself are hot, but not enough to damage you. (Of course you should never touch the metal of the lamp during or directly after use, it will be quite hot.)

Great product! Great service and great delivery! 5" reflector is better than usual bulky 8.5" for tight 30"x12" shelves I've got plants on. Doesn't shade out areas as bad with shelves set at 18-24" height spacing. But reflects way more than of omitting its use. But that is an option too. Cheapest and easiest LED grow light setup I've found for DIY winter plant carry over. I've got blooming roses, geraniums, fuschia, thungbergia, and even coleus in January! Choose cool for vegetative growth, warm for flowering stimulation, and with at least 1600 lumen per 6-8 square foot area, for 16 hours per day, I'm accomplishing this. Only way to afford this length of operation, not to mention fire safety, is LED or fluorescent. LED can be found in multiple lumen/ wattage strengths, which is now flexible than fluorescent. Plus even though they run a tiny bit warmer, making my household 60 degrees in the winter a 63-65 around the plants, with a constant light ceiling fan on. Glad these inexpensive little lights did the job at a great value!

Great worklight for my restored 1944 Delta Drill press. They sell a reproduction Delta drill press lamp called a "retirement light" for $175 on eBay. I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a tool I'm going to use around the home.. My wife would've divorced me, too, she said. I spent too much time and money restoring the drill press, and it's not like I'm going to bring it to a vintage machinery show or something. And two clamp lamps for 17 dollars - how can you go wrong? I attached the clamp lamp where the original lamp had been, using a nut, bolt, and small fender washers.

No dings or dents, nothing missing. The clamps are strong enough that I (a small man going on 90) had to use both hands to open them. I say they're durable because they look like some lamps that I've had for decades. I screwed in my last two 60 watt incandescent bulbs and clamped them to shelves over a couple of computers where they do a great job of illuminating the keyboards. They come with a State-of-California warning about chemicals that could cause cancer or birth defects. They look to me to be made mainly of steel, aluminum and Bakelite. Bakelite is made using phenol and formaldehyde, which are toxic, but the finished product is not toxic. Just don't sand or saw it.

Arrived as described. Not the best looking although they offer steady, sturdy and effective fixture for light or heat bulbs. These have worked well to warm and protect my very large sulcata for more than a year. Good clamp, switch and cord all attached to durable fixture.

I ordered this product originally a few years ago when I needed lighting for a miniature greenhouse, since then I've made multiple purchases because this thing is so great! This clamp lamp isn't much different from the other options out there, I can't say there's any feature that really is done better or stands out. What I can say is that this thing is well built, the first one I purchased survived multiple drops, sub-zero temperatures, above-average heat, and high humidity. No issues with the switch, the fixture, the clamp, or the cord. The reflector has a small dent but that was my fault - I would recommend being careful if you plan on throwing bricks near this lamp. The product is well built and feels sturdy, it uses a standard push stick style switch built into the socket housing. The clamp is coated in a rubberized sleeve and has a good amount of grip but it will struggle on slippery surfaces which are narrow or provide little to grip on to. You can get creative and wrap the clamp around or play with the position and it will attach to mostly anything. I've used it with a wide range of bulbs with no problems: low wattage LED (13W), high wattage large LED (50W+), CFL (9-50W). The largest bulb I used was 18x21cm LED bulb with a tapered base but the reflector ended up redundant due to the design of the bulb. Luckily it's easy to remove the reflector or the clamp, or both if you need to. All that aside, the main selling point here is the price! The closest competing product I've found is nearly twice the price and even more in local shops. For a UL certified product, this is a steal.

This was my second order of these lamps - they are useful in so many places. This batch is to hold grow-lights to start spring seeds. Others go in the workshop for task lighting wherever needed. One did come with a slightly "squeezed" reflector - I'm sure that it left the Amazon warehouse in good shape but they packed it in a box along with another much heavier item and no protection. Anyway, that which is easily bent into an oval is also easily bent back to a circle, and the light does its job well. The cord/plug/socket/switch etc. are all great quality, even if the reflector is a bit flimsy.

Perfect for the chicken coop. It really helps spread the heat around, I recommend this as it has many applications. Thanks.

Needed a lamp to go with the grow light I have and it works great. I love how the metal looks like it came with the metal Ikea shelf I bought for my plants! Easy to clamp where needed and is lightweight yet sturdy. If I need another grow lamp I'll repurchase this one for sure.
