My criteria for buying a butter dish were 1) wide enough to allow paper wrapping to stay on a stick of butter, 2) fits in the butter compartment of my GE 17.5 cu. ft. top freezer-refrigerator. The attached pictures show that the Utopia butter dish met both criteria easily. Maybe I worry too much about grease, but I don't like to put butter directly onto the base of the dish. This dish was wider and longer than expected, so the paper wasn't an issue. Even better, there was a lot of room to spare for this dish in the butter compartment. The last thing I wanted was a large and ornate butter dish taking up space on a refrigerator shelf because it was too big for the compartment where it belonged. This dish looks so small in the compartment that I could fit something else in there if needed.The rubber base pieces keep this dish stable on the table, and the grooves on the sides are deep enough that the cover stays in place. It's durable and easy to clean.I did NOT get a discount or free item for this review; I bought this because it fit the bill, and I'm happy with the purchase.

By far my favorite butter dish. Love the rubber on the bottom that keeps the dish in place when trying to cut a pat of butter. You know how sometimes the dish can get out from under you when you're slicing cold butter, with this dish it's not a problem. Also appreciate the clear top, so you at least know how much is left without taking it out of the fridge. The branding on the metal edge-- tends to come off after the first washing, but starting to think that is how it's made. I like it without the signature markings anyway.

This butter dish is exactly what I was looking for -my roommate got it in his head that leaving butter on a paper plate was an acceptable way to store it, and I'd had enough. This dish is inexpensive, but the quality is great. The steel base is sturdy, and the non-stick material on the bottom means I won't accidentally send it flying across the counter top. I really appreciate the roominess of the clear top, and the fact that I can easily judge how much butter I have left. Over all, great product for a great price.

I do like this butter dish. It holds any length of butter, the lid doesn't touch the butter and it keeps the butter fresh. My only problem is that it along with the handles it is too long to fit in my refrigerator's butter holder if I want to also keep my package of unopened butter in there too. I have a new (1 yr old) refrigerator that has an even bigger butter storing area than my last one but this item hogs all the room lengthwise. I went back to my old butter dish even though its lid gets butter all over it.

This butter dish is exactly what I was looking for. My pressed glass dish had broken and I needed a replacement that didn't cost a fortune. Sure I could have spent $2 for an acrylic dish, but I wanted something more classy. This is not cheap looking. It looks great and is sturdy enough for my kids who are tough on everything I buy.

This butter dish is great and very stylish-looking. My only complaint is that the lid/cover is too loose and could easily fall off. This isn't such a big issue because I have the butter dish in a side compartment in the fridge but it could be a problem if you need to put the butter dish on a shelf.

The item is exactly as represented in its description. The quality of materials and the design is good and there is plenty of room to fit a standard sized stick of butter. The stoppers on either end keep the lid in place while transporting. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

It's a butter dish. I wanted something for everyday use and this is a good butter dish. Conveniently, it will also hold a block of Cracker Barrel cheese if you have eaten at least a slice off the end. Now it's in the fridge with midnight snack cheese for later enjoyment. The rubber base is a nice touch and I think the plastic lid is fine but I would have probably paid double if it had a glass lid.
