3s line can't be beat for the $
I've had this car since mid 2021 and I've got to say..it's amazing. So fast and tough. She soars through the air like a majestic peacock. A mistake A made early on is thinking I could do better than Arrma at deciding which shocks to use. I couldn't. Arrma nailed it on every one of the 3s line cars I have. Regular wear and tear things like the little plastic washer type things which cushion the steering arms and bearings need regular checking. Check your wheels before EVERY run. Apply semi permanent thread lock on EVERY metal on metal contact screw. Never use thread lock on plastic. It'll melt it and render the threads useless. No need to grease the diffs as Arrma does a fine job making sure their cars are shipped out right. My ONLY gripe is with the obviously overpowered and seriously under built steering servo. Arrma is well aware of this defect by now but they continue to waste money replacing countless warrantied steering servos. As far as I'm aware, every blx model ships out with them. Do yourself a favor and throw in a decent brushless, or coreless servo once the stock one shorts out. I use the pictured SPT 5835W-180 brushless 35kg servo available on Amazon for 35 bucks. It's quite fast and perfectly suited for general bashing. It's in 3 of my Arrma cars now. None of them are currently using the stock servo. All of the 3s line are super easy to service and upgrade. The motor mount detaches easily with a bit of prying. Dirt in the chassis will make this process harder so a good thing to install is the Velcro screen cover also available on Amazon. They are priceless to me as they make cleaning a much easier job. The plastic body shell is very durable and has held up for six months of bashing and crashing and tumbling. I have had to replace the front shocks from head crashes that broke the threaded end of the shaft right off in the suspension arm. Although they broke, I still think they're the best shocks for this car. They're hard to find so in the meantime I've got some after market replacements. For Less than 400 bucks, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better, or more capable RC car. The Arrma Vorteks was my first serious RC and I'm super happy that I got lucky enough to stumble on one of the finest cars in the hobby. Every Arrma car I have is an absolute blast and I'm sticking with this company based on the great experience I've had since buying these vehicles. Arrma stands behind their products.

Ready to use right out of the box. Run, fast. Very durable compared to previous traxas models I have had.

Simply Outstanding
As a 1/10th RTR this is not only a great value, but likely the best in it's class. The only thing left wanting is the plastic pivot balls. These were upgraded to alloy. Everything else has been nearly perfect. The power is perfect for it's size. It handles well on all but the most slippery of surfaces. I love truggies, as they tend to be forgiving and well rounded, and this is no exception. The only downside is that it is heavy for it's size. Because of this the body will take some damage. I've had to reaffix the wing with more substantial hardware, reinforce the front of the body where the shock towers dig into it, and had to bend the body back into shape after getting well smushed. One wheel had gotten bent early on. It irks me to this day. I also cut out the waterproof receiver box and mounted the ESC to the floor to lower the center of gravity which worked better than I ever expected. If you don't intend to submarine it, I highly recommend it. One year later, and I have a whole set of axles, diffs, and a slipper clutch for replacement or upgrade, and I've needed none of it.

Great R/C car but make sure you feel comfortable doing advanced level repairs
This is my second Vorteks. The first one was a Christmas gift. Why do I have two? Because they break a lot and I spend a lot of time waiting for replacement parts to arrive. That’s not to take anything away from the quality of this item at its price point. The thing is it’s as powerful as “S” and if u play with it as it was designed to be played with u are gonna break hubs , drive shafts , shocks , connectors pretty much everything. Forget about buying metal “upgrades “. That’s even worse since everything on this is designed to flex and if you replace parts with metal it’s toast. You need to be a very very proficient fixer. There are no instructions on how to fix things, online utube videos are sparse. Im 67 and consider myself an expert mechanic and have been challenged with some of these repairs. So just make sure you are up to the task or you have access to someone who is handy at repair.

Didn’t expect to find it here—but glad I did!
I was honestly surprised to see this RC truck available on Amazon, but I gave it a shot, and everything worked out great. Shipping was super fast, and the truck arrived brand new, just like you’d expect. No weird repackaging or missing parts—just ready to hit the pavement. And wow, this thing is fast. I knew it was quick, but seeing it in action is a whole different story. The first time I took it out, I underestimated the power and ended up chasing it down the street after an unplanned wheelie. The 3S power gives it plenty of punch, and the 4x4 setup keeps it surprisingly stable even when you’re pushing it hard.If you’re on the fence about buying an RC truck like this from Amazon, I get it—I was too. But my experience was smooth, and I’ve been having a blast with it ever since. Just make sure you’ve got some space because this thing loves to go.
