Great beginner machine
Bought for my 7 year old Grandaughter, within half an hour of learning how to thread, she was sewing her first project. Great little safe machine for little fingers, particularly like the finger guard. Also ideal for adults & small projects. More than happy!

Disappointing fault.
This was bought as a present for Christmas- thankfully decided to get it out of the box to check it over . Found that the socket for the plug for the foot pedal was defective and so the plug wouldn’t stay in and therefore it couldn't be used. Item was returned for refund.

Don’t buy this Sewing machine if you want to sew
Bought for my 8 year old Granddaughters birthday after she showed an interest on an adult sewing machine. We wanted a simple machine which was safe for her to use on her own and to build her confidence in sewing some simple items. Machine would not run for 20 seconds without jamming or breaking cotton, totally disheartening. We had a seamstress check the cotton tension etc and even she could not get it work correctly. In the end we tried to get someone to have look at it in case it was faulty, but the company seems to be based in Holland and the contact we did te.mail came back with “we are outside there area and therefore to far away.” So we have put it in the dustbin and bought her a simple adult machine for not much more money and she is quite happily sewing with adult supervision, she has made a apron, a bag and some dusting gloves, we hope now she will carry on with this valuable life skill. Lesson learned this was a waste of money try before you buy.

Looks great but doesn't sew
The machine itself looks great, however it is not possible for my 8 yo daughter to use it and even I couldn't get it working. 4cm straight line is the best I could do, otherwise it breaks the thread immediately or gets stuck on the same place. I tried to reset the thread many times and used different material, but it didn't help. Also I need to mention that the machine has only 2 speeds - both too fast for children to use.

Looks better than it sews.
I love how this little machine looks - perfect for my 6-year-old granddaughter. I chose it because it has a plastic guard around the sewing area, it has the option to run from a button or a foot pedal, it is numbered for easy threading and it comes with lovely little accessories, including a pattern and material to make a little clutch bag. These are the reasons I have given 3 stars. Why I have only given 3 is because sewing with it isn't as smooth as I'd expect. I'm constantly needing to re-thread and unravel and finding the right tension for a piece of material is a pretty big job in itself. Instead of encouraging my granddaughter's interest in sewing, the constant stopping and starting and re-threading and undoing tangles can get quite tedious for a 6-year-old; and for a granny too, come to that! Today, we have sewn a little gift pouch and it has taken a lot longer than anyone would expect. But with patience (mainly mine) we got there. I'd considered buying a normal mini machine for her to start on but it was the safety guard on this model that was the attraction, that and that it is designed for children from age 6. We'll persevere; maybe we just don't have the knack with it yet but I can't see this little machine encouraging sewing.

Worked for 5 mins
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter. Unfortunately it worked once, then I've had problems with everything, stalling, bobbin not threading, couldn't get the tension right, knots. The only selling point was the needle protector but ithe actually machine just doesn't work. It was a Christmas gift so obviously expectations were high and it has caused a lot of stress. I purchased it early so I can't even send it back. I've ordered a Brother machine now, hopefully this will be better! Waste of money.
