It's cheap, it's what it says it is, and on first opening it I was thoroughly unimpressed and almost returned it. I'm glad that I didn't though because when it's plugged into a USB, the light is extra bright. I'm using it to make fine alterations to a broken stone lamp. It's been really helpful in not leaving a mess of glue and bonding agents. As a less-expensive option, it's worth the money you spend on it.

For the price, this magnifier is a great deal. Good for desktop or lap use & travel. We have an expensive set up for our studio, but the magnifier on this is surprisingly of similar quality & you can move around with it. The main issue is - the base isn't weighted - which is great for portability, but takes a little adjusting. To address that, we simply place a small object on the base, & it's fine. Also, it has two light settings which are good for the fine work we do. For under $10, we think it's a great purchase.

It is good for the price. Magnification looks to be x10, but since the diameter is a bit small, it can be a bit dizzying. The lights are good as well, although a kelvin temp adjustment would have been awesome. Overall, this works as advertised. Just take it slow as it takes a while to adjust to the magnification.

Bright light with two settings. Easy viewing & great magnification! The dust cap is a nice little bonus. Better than expected and good value!
